ok, is there stipulations where you cannot use Quick Silver ex an online coupon a certain type of vehice etc...

You can use Quick Silver and skip the counter in the terminal, even if you have a coupon. But you still must check in at the counter in the garage. I joined Quick Silver and asked about this. They told me even with QS you have to check in at the counter in the garage each time.

If you want to bypass the counters completely, you can check in on-line prior to your arrival at the airport. This is when you can't use coupons. Go the Alamo.com and click on "check in now" to see the other restrictions for on-line check in.

Where is the counter inside of the garage?

There is a small shack in the garage just as you reach the Alamo lanes. It has a small counter big enough for two people to work behind.

Thanks! This was helpful! I joined QS too and wasn't sure how it worked. I still think I will go with National and the Emerald Reserve though...well, depends on the price. If Alamo is over $30 less than National I will be going to Alamo...

I was told I had to go to the counter because we have an additional driver. Does that mean I can go to the counter in the garage? I hope someone knows.

I would call to be sure, but can you enter the additional driver's information (License Number, name, DOB, etc) online? If yes, then I would GUESS that you can go to the counter in the garage...but it's just a guess...

Sorry I can't be more helpful!

Last week we went into the garage counter and wanted to add a driver, the counter person said we had to go back in to the inside counter to do that, I complained and a manager did it for me, griping all the way. My wife hates Alamo, but loves National, go figure. I can also see the difference, but for the $60.00 I saved I suffered throught the 10 minutes of pain...

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. The information I had been told was:

If you are using the online checkin you cannot use a coupon.
If you are quick silver you can skip the inside counter and go to the desk out in the garage.

*sorry don't know about the additional driver* :sunny:

That's the way I understand it.

Thanks..I always get "India" when I call. I think they understand what I'm asking. They told me I had to go into the office. Someone else had to also. I'll just go wait. Is there a QS line in the office at MCO?

When you make your res. w/Alamo using QS & utilize one of the ID codes that has no charge for extra driver (ex walmart), once you get to the confirmation page there is a section to select where you can input the 2nd driver's info (DL #, insurance etc.) Save time @ garage kiosk.

We've always been able to use a coupon @ the kiosk but, I'm careful to use the "general" on-line ones w/Walmart as opposed to specific coupons "entertainment or Costco" due to the fine print verbage on bottom on coupon.

The last time I used Alamo which was about year ago. I called the station manager at Orlando. She told me to go to the garage, select a car, get in and drive to the check out kiosk at the exit. As to adding the additional driver, they will want to see his/her license and cc in his/her name. They will also want to see your license and cc.
There is a QS line at the counter in the terminal.

I'm not using QS but I've done Walmart coupon with alamo code and only had to show DH's DL at inside counter.

Glad to hear it, but, I went with what the station manager stated and with the rules stated on the website. Better safe than sorry. :)

True and I agree with you, it may be a case of since he's my spouse they have never asked. If they should ever ask for one than I''l be doing all the driving since he doesn't have a cc in his name.
