I'm here!!!! I'm sure you'll be eating up my report of POFQ next week!!!!! It's by far my favorite moderate with CSR in a close second although I'm dying to stay in a princess room at POR!! I can't wait to read more

As soon as I get my TR from December done I will start a PTR for September. I am kinda unsure on how to do it since there will be 2 or 3 other dismembers on the trip. Course, since we have 2 rooms and the other room gets there after we do and stays longer maybe we will each do a PTR

Looks like our dates don't overlap at all, right? We arrive 10/25... isn't that what happened September 2010? We were back to back, but didn't overlap?

I really am looking forward to reading all your plans

Well, one is my oldest dd (she is going to turn 22 on the trip) Another is someone that I met on dis and we talk all the time. She is a sweetheart. She then has a friend (and I am not sure if she is or is not on dis). We also will be bringing my youngest dd (age 7) and the friend of my disfriend has a 5 year old girl she is bringing. I have not really talked about any of this on my TR. I will get there though... if I ever finish my report. Basically I have to get through to day 15 (the day we arrive back home) and since I just finished day 9 (I think) I have a ways to go.

It is too bad that our dates don't overlap...

I have been planning to book a trip this fall, but kept procrastinating.
Both of our previous trips have been in September with free dining.
I really love that time of year (minus the humidity).
The lines have always been short & you just can't beat free dining.
It's so nice not having to budget for food & worry about how much it cost.


My original plan was to book at POP and upgrade to the regular dining.

On March 2nd, I received messages that Free Dining was released for Visa members.
I quickly logged on Disboards and saw where everyone was booking and that it was not available at Pop!

I called WDW & the CM confirmed that Pop was not available for the free dining promotion.

So, I booked another Disney resort that I've been wanting to stay at:

Port Orleans French Quarter!!


I have always wanted to stay at Pop & have been unable to on every trip.
I'm still sad that we are not staying at Pop, but at the same time, I'm VERY excited about staying at POFQ.
I know we will like POFQ, but
I really think Lexi & Levi would just LOVE Pop Century & that's why I've always wanted to stay there!

Our dates are:
Saturday, Sept 22nd - Friday, Sept 28th

I have been busy this weekend trying to decide what restaurants that we want to eat at. It is so tough narrowing down the list!
I hope to have it figured out tonight, but I doubt I will!
But, thanks to reading Dancegirls PTR, I know I better get it figured out this week!!!

We've stayed at both Pop and POFQ and love them both (for different reasons.) What we started doing on many of our trips (because I can't pull myself away from Disney ) is adding one last night at Pop. Have you thought about doing this either for your first or last night? You won't have the dining plan for that night, but since it's only one night it shouldn't be that bad, right? That way, you get to do the dining plan AND experience a little bit of Pop

Your explanation of booking is sooo close to my own...minus the part where we wanted to stay at Pop cause we had never done so. Honestly when looking at the difference between a value and upgrading and the moderate it just didnt make sense not to go with a mod. A though it wasn't always the case. I could have sworn that when we went in 2010 the cost to upgrade was only like $10 a day pp. Now with it closer to $20 (I think like $16) it just adds up far too quickly.

So you are leaving on the first day Food and Wine?

We are hoping to be there long enough for that, ToT 10 miler and MNSSHP. I don't know though.. that is a lot to fit in.

I hear ya on trying to figure out what places to eat at. Mine gets complicated because I am not the solo planner on this trip. So... what did you learn that makes you need to figure out your restaurants this week?? Hmmm your 180? I think mine is the 29th of this month so 11 days. Since you check in 3 days before I do... that is 8 so that must be it? Yes? I am nervous now... I hate to miss anything in my possible planning strategies.

OOH OOH!! We did this on our December trip (front end) It was not only because I wanted dh to be able to see Pop, but because the cost of 2 nights was less than the increase in airfare to flight out on our check in day to WL. Even when we looked at food, we came out ahead to stay the 2 extra nights at Pop. This is definitely something I would consider in the future.

if you still would really like pop...give them a call and check to see, i have heard they opened up some rooms there for the free dinning...i cant reveal my sources, but lets just say it has been offered there inthe last few weeks.
