Skipping Hollywood Studios??

During our 5 night stay we plan on rope dropping HS for a few rides and launch bay before lunch at 50 prime time cafe. Then we have the Star Wars dessert party booked one night and might swing by another night for Fantasmic.

Its not a park we made as a priority. The morning we are RD HS is because we have a FP for FOP later that night so it was a perfect excuse for a HS morning.

We often skip HS.
I'm not quite sure I understand why you posted this question though. Every trip involves making choices, like where to dine and where to sleep. One trip we stay at Pop, another time we stay at CSR or CR, but we don't spend time fretting over our choice. We enjoy the benefits of the options we choose.

When we vacation, we simply choose what we think we'll enjoy the most.

I'm confident other folks make choices that wouldn't work for us.

What I love most about WDW is the plethora of options we have.

We go just for TSMM, rope drop it, FP the same ride immediately afterward, then maybe hit a show or two, grab a bite and hop to another park. Dunno why, but my wife LOVES that midway ride- so ya know what they say- 'happy wife happy life' :)
My wife and I love TSMM too ... and I could ride Star Tours from open to close if I could go alone. :) But I'm taking my in-laws to WDW with us for their first trip in 20+ years, and they only have 3 park days to work with. When I put together a touring plan for HS with all the things they could try and ride, it ended looking like half a day at most. I couldn't believe I could watch all the shows and be done by 2pm! So we've since changed the plan to AK. (It was originally DHS because of Star Wars stuff and the shows, but they didn't take up as much time as I expected).

We always spend 2 full days at HS (My fault its my favorite) and I do think you could do a full day there, right now there are a lot of M&G's in the park to attract people and depending on who you son likes you might find several there. My 17 year old tolerates my love for this park but in her case we have a rule she only has to rie ToT and Aerosmith once each trip. When she was small (5) we hit all of the shows.

Last trip we gave the kids a choice, Hollywood Studios or another day at Animal Kingdom. They jumped at the chance to do AK again. For our next trip, we are carving out one day for Hollywood Studios, but we have APs and Park Hoppers.

Isn't the whole point of the boards is to ask questions to enhance your trip and to help make decisions??? That is the reason why I posted the question. To see if people ever skipped HS and regretted the decision?
