We got to eat in Skipper's Canteen on our trip last week. Here are some pictures I took.

Thanks for posting your pics! Did you notice if all three rooms were carpeted? Was the larger room noisy? I wear hearing aids and have a hard time hearing conversation in noisy rooms. We are planning to try to eat here over Easter. Did you make a same-day ADR or did you walk up? Thanks in advance for the info.

We were there the second day it opened. We ended up in the large room,the Mess Hall. It wasn't very noisy,but it also didn't feel like a special experience. DH and I would prefer one of the two smaller rooms if we ever go back. They are definitely quieter.
The menu is definitely more exotic and out of the box than what we're used to,but we didn't see that as something negative. The lunch and dinner menu are the same,so we just had appetizers for lunch. What we had was very good. Also,the servers speak like the Jungle Cruise boat captains,so you get to laugh while ordering. It's a nice addition to the experience. If you go in open for a new experience, you should have a nice time.

Funny, I didn't notice the floor, but I have a sneaking memory that it was tile or hardwood. Not carpeted. We were in the main mess hall and it wasn't too noisy at all.

Thanks guys! It sounds like it wouldn't be too noisy even if we are seated in the main mess hall, but I may request one of the two smaller rooms just for the theming and a little more quiet. I'm looking forward to trying something different.
