I think that it might be time to give up on this one offering ADR's for December. Maybe they'll have a soft opening though. Oh well.

Don't give up hope. I think they'll have it open by the 20th. Not that I'm clairvoyant or anything. It just seems like if they're in training now we should be seeing soft openings very soon followed quickly by an actual official opening. You know as well as I that Disney doesn't like to lose money, and every day this place isn't open is money going out (paying CM's to train) and nothing coming in.

possible, but I wouldn't think that was likely in the middle of the day. More likely the same intermittent glitch that has been happening a lot lately.

I agree with @Planogirl Disney doesn't tend to open restaurants with reservations.

Thanks for seeing my optimism. Although I believe it is more my ADR insanity showing. I am trying to plan for a group that varies between 8 and 13 people! And for some things I am having to add 1 person ADR's on at a time. Ridiculous that the MDE can not allow you to set ADR for at least the number of people in your party!

For example I found an ADR for BOG lunch for 5. I need 10 but hey five is half way there. I grab the five. Another shows up at about the same time (within 5 minutes) so I grab it and the system wants to cancel my 5 to grab the one. I have 8 people on our villa reservation and it will not let me set a place for at least those 8 to eat! Grrrrrrrrrrrr! SO I make another MDE account and grab the one that miraculously was still open. As of now I have BOG lunch for 7 out of 10 of us by doing it this way! I even tried calling to see if they could combine them but the CM I got was a wee bit lost in Never Neverland and I gave up! LOL!

My MDE BOG is working again and no sign of SC, but I will keep looking for it. After all who needs sleep 4 nights out from a vacation?

Not sure if this helps, but if you call and book over the phone (automated line), you don't have the issue of the system trying to replace an existing reservation.. it just gives you a confirmation number that you can link to your original MDE. Hope that made sense...

The drawback though is that the automated call booking is a tad tedious...

You can double book via the MDE app on my phone. We often travel with extended family so I understand needing to have split ressies. When i use the app on my phone it will allow me to book additional adrs without making me cancel the other like it does on the site.

I did not know this either. I do not usually do things on my phone like this simply because I struggle to see things on the little screens. One of the sad consequences of getting older but I may give this a try too!

I tried and the denial message popped up. Is there any particular way you're doing it? I used the "dining" tab that slides out from under on the left. We have local family that won't commit to a day they will visit and it would be great to hold two ressies until they give me an answer, hopefully next week.
