Skipper Canteen info

I have no hope this will be open by the time our November trip rolls around, but crossing my fingers for Jock Lindsey's, my Indy-crazed DS will go bananas there! :)

Anxious to see the menu when it comes out. This would be a great option for our MNSSHP night. No worries of it not being open by the time we get there...won't be till October 2016 :scared:

*If* the LTT rumors are true, then it sounds like it's possible that SC could open while we're at WDW (we will be there 11/19-11/27). How cool would it be to get a ressie for opening day???

LOL! A girl can dream!

Surely some kind of an update will be coming soon, don't you think? We're already well into August after all!

I'm watching this thread. Although Sadly it won't be open in time for my November trip (we leave on the 19th so we will likely just miss the opening) however, I have hopes of a February trip and I'd love to go to this restaurant then!

I thought about it and then thought some more, then yesterday I booked some ADRs for a tentative whirlwind mid December trip I'm planning just for this restaurant. I added a Processional package and Minnie's for good measure, though chances are this trip may never materialize. :worried: Sure, I could just wait for a more concrete trip to book the Cantina, but I really want to Dine with Minnie too, lol. Where there's a will there's a way...

Some of my best trips have started with booking just one ADR.... :)

So in addition to waiting impatiently for the Indiana Jones' themed Hangar bar to open next to the Boathouse at DTD I'll be waiting on this one, too. I'm still mad that they shut down what used to be in this space...the Adventureland Verandah. It was sponsored by Kikkoman and had these really yummy teriyaki hot dogs and french fry baskets. The shaded seating area over the water by the Adventureland bridge was so nice on a scorching summer day. (OK, so it was a lonnnggg time ago). I'm also still mad the Adventurer's Club closed down. Trader Sam's in DL and Trader Sam's Grog Grotto at the Polynesian somewhat make up for the loss, but they are so expensive to hang around and drink in for any length of time. Let's hope they carry some of that wonderful Jungle Cruise theming on over to the new cantina. And it wouldn't hurt to throw a few Tiki bird elements in there, either.

Yup...Jock Lindsay's Hangar Bar. Jock Lindsay being the float plane pilot fishing in the river when Indiana Jones comes a'running chased by natives in Raiders of the Lost Ark. http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...t-downtown-disney-at-walt-disney-worldresort/

Following. I have a trip in Jan! This sounds like it could be kind of like Adventurers club a little bit. I never got to experience that club but wished I had.

Following! We'll be leaving the 21st so knowing my luck we'll just miss it lol. Still, you never know... :D

Is there any way we can be notified with ADR's open up. I'm hoping to get LTT for november 28th and This restaurant for any day of our trip with is 21 days starting with he 28th
