Skip check in and straight to EMH?

Hey guys I'm sure this has been asked and answered but I couldn't find a definitive answer when searching.

I'm arriving tomorrow morning and I want to go to MK for EMH starting at 8:00 AM. I am checking in tomorrow to AKL. Do I need to go to AKL to check in at the desk in order for my MBs to reflect that I am checked in and a resort guest, or will my online check-in suffice? Would rather not waste precious park time in line at Guest Relations so if necessary I will just leave home earlier to allow time to check in at AKL first. If anyone has bypassed the physical check in and just gone straight to EMH using online check-in I would love your firsthand experience!

Last time we were there we just did the online check in. We parked our car at the resort and went right to the bus stop and to MK.

Do online check in it asks your eta and everything is live they even text or email you when room is ready

We ended up stopping to check in anyway, as we had time, but for posterity the desk CMs ensured me that we needn't have checked in to get the EMH benefit. It was nice though because our room had apparently already been assigned (it wasn't ready but the front desk CM told me where to park) and we got a great room. Thanks for all the help!
