Do they run true to size? or do they run small or big?
my kids each want a pair, and Kohls has them on sale, and free shipping........so I want to order them because we don't live near a Kohls, closest is about 25 miles away........so its just easier for me to shop online.
but since we have never tried on sketchers I am not sure about the size.
my ds is in a 12 1/2 sneaker and dd 1 1/2......the 12 1/2 is getting a bit snug on ds, so not sure if going to size 13 or 1 would be best, i have a feeling 1 would be too big.

DS8 has a pair - I think theyre true to size. I know the adult sneakers are not, theyre 1/2 size off. I will say, these sketchers did not last long though. Theyre falling apart all over the place and he hasnt had them that long.

hmmm. falling apart doesn't sound good. especially since they are still $40 on sale! We usually go to the New Balance sneaker outlet and walk out with at least 5-6 pairs of sneakers for less than 2 pairs of sketchers.
and they hold up really well. maybe i will have to eat up the gas and go to the outlet.

1/2 size off in which direction? I'm thinking of ordering a pair for myself. I usually wear an 8 1/2. Which size should I order? (OP - Sorry to hijack your thread).

I have a very narrow foot and I find that they run narrow. DD can't wear certain style due to this, she also finds them narrow.

My kids usually wear stride rite shoes, but I did break down last fall and bought Skechers at Famous Footwear. I don't think they held up as well as the stiderite ones, and they cost almost as much. I also agree that they do seem to run narrow, and also about 1/2 size small. All that said, it seems even stride rite isn't as good as it once was, or maybe my kids are just wearing their shoes much longer, so they actually wear out??:confused3

So for the OP, I might would order the 13 1/2 to be on the safe side.

You would need a 1/2 size bigger. I usually get a 9 in sneakers and needed a 9 1/2 with the sketchers.

My kids have worn skechers for many years and we have never had any of the shoes wear out. I find they run 1/2 small in both childrens and adults sizes. I've been very pleased with the quality.

we were just at Kohls trying Sketchers on tonight! I forgot my driver's license (to use with my ss for the kohls charge) and I have to go back..

Anyhow-- my dd is between a 2.5 and 3 and the 3 fit very well. I would say they are very true to size.

good luck-- my DD loves her sketchers!

I'll go with them running small since I bought a pair a that she only wore once and complained about them hurting her feet.

My kids wear mostly Skechers and I've never had a problem with quality, they usually grow out of them, the one pair I've had fall apart lasted more than a year of being worn almost every day. DD really likes the biker styles and my boys like the z-straps (just so they don't have to tie). I personally have a pair of Cali-gear, a pair of Cali sandals that are SO comfortable and a pair of tennis shoes and they were all true to size.

I find they run small. We buy them at the Outlet Mall here (the one that was Belz; they change the name to LV Outlet Center). DS8 has worn his current pair since school started last August and they are still holding up.

I've ALWAYS found this to be true with skechers also, no matter where I get them! I wear a 9 1/2 in anything else and need a 10 in skechers.

Both of my children have sketchers. DD6 loves them and they hold up great. Bought them 4 months ago and they still look brand new. DS9 is very hard on his shoes. I have found that sketchers hold up the best for him. His other sneakers usually fall apart within a month, but with sketchers they last until he moves up a size.

I have found that sizes run true to fit.

We ended up spending $32 after my Kohl's discount and their sale. I didn't think that was too bad??

Have a great day!

I'm actually surprised to hear someone say this. My DS#2 has thick/wide feet and Sketchers are one of the few kinds he can wear. We have always been pleased with Sketchers and find that they are a very durable shoe (especially for a 6yr old who seems to be very tough on shoes!)

I know our outlet (Grove City) always has buy one get one 50% off.

DS has had a few pair of Sketchers in his lifetime and they have all held up great. In fact they have held up so much better than the Merrell's he has now! He had a pair when he was about 2 that he wore for probably 1-1 1/2 years and they still looked new! They were the light up ones. I just said to DH if we go back to some of the outlets I want to get him a couple of pairs so he can wear them as school shoes since they hold up so well. I did find that they ran about 1/2 size larger though. I think that was why he was able to get so much use out of them. I would buy his size but it would be a long time before he outgrew them. For example I just sold his last pair on Ebay, they were a size 8 1/2 and he wore them until about 2 months ago. He's a size 10 now! Granted I think he kind of hit a spurt because out of nowhere he was telling me they were too small. I love Sketchers for kids though!
