I picked up a pair of Sketchers Shape-Ups at Kohl's today - they were on sale for $80 and I had 30% off (so I got them for $55!). Still a bit more than I am used to paying for shoes though.

Does anyone have these? Are they worth it? Comfy? Actually give results?

I am debating keeping them, but figured I'd get them since the sale was going on.

I have them. I like them. The first 2 weeks I wore them I really felt it in my calves and butt. I only wear them to walk a few miles every night. I paid $100 for them so you get a great deal:thumbsup2 I asked on here before I got them and people raved about them.

no, not worth it. I have 2 pairs. I bought one for using on the treadmill, and one for using outside (since you shouldn't use shoes that have been worn outside on the treadmill). I used them for about 3 months and never really felt anything. I would consider myself a little more on the active side, so I'm not sure if that is why. Maybe it works better for people who haven't exercised in a long time?? Honestly not really sure. I personally found them to be a waste of money and found I got a better workout using my regular tennis shoes.

Love mine. Worth every penny, really good for my posture, balance and back.

Hmmmmmmm I picked them up and put them down when they were 100. If I could get them for 55 I'd jump on it....thanks for posting about Kohls.......

I cannot attest to the toning your legs and butt part as I have not yet used them for working out, but the wearing them to Disneyland part I will SWEAR by. Before I bought them, no matter what shoes I wore, my feet and legs would be sore after just half day at the parks. I would have to take meds to sleep sometimes.

I have worn my Shape-ups now three times to DL and not one bit of soreness any of those trips. No meds or hot baths needed. :cool1: I paid 75.00 for mine and they were worth every penny. Please note, I am not one to buy expensive shoes. I usually never spend more that 20.00 on a pair. It was painful for me to buy these but after wearing them, I would spend the 75.00 again.

I forgot the disney thing. I wore mine for our spring trip. One week, not a sore muscle, not a sore foot, nothing....

i have had mine for a year. can't say the "work" but i am in pretty good shape. however, they are SOOOOOOOOO comfortable. and great for the rain because the extra platform keeps the upper from getting wet.

Mine hurt my knee (but he knee isn't that great to begin with). It seems half of the people I talk to, they bother their knee or hip. Aside from that, they're the most comfortable shoes I've never had (as far as feeling like I'm walking on air and my feet like them). I still wear them some but can't do it for more than 1 day at a time. That being said, I wouldn't get another pair.

Well you all are no help! :rotfl2: 50% love them and 50% don't!

I think I may wear them in the house for a few days and see how they feel, then make a decision. I am leaving for Florida on FRIDAY  but I don't think these will make it on this trip.

They do seem comfy from the little I had them on today. I am not really in shape right now, and I don't expect miracles - just want to figure out if they are any different than any other shoes. If they are super-comfy that's worth it too!

And if you are in the market for a pair, check Kohl's or kohls.com - they are marked down and with the extra % off they are the cheapest I have ever seen them. They were flying off the shelves this morning!

I teach special ed and I'm on my feet all day. I bought a pair to wear to work last year and I love them! Did they tone anything- not at all, and I'm definately NOT in shape. What I love them for is my back. Being on my feet and walking used to kill my lower back. Whatever these shoes do to align my spine/hips/whatever, it works! I've had exactly one day with back pain wearing these shoes, and that was a day I spent breaking up fights and wrestling kids into chairs. I'm buying a 2nd pair before school starts next month. This time I'm buying black, so the principal doesn't realize I'm wearing sneakers every day lol.

I love mine! I need to get a new pair, mine are wearing down so thanks for posting the info on Kohl's! I got my dh a pair too because he has bad knees and he says it does help.

Now off to find a 30% off code for Kohl's!

I think they are great for people who are on their feet all day long, like nurses for example. They do have added cushion.

I read an article not too long ago that basically said they do nothing to help you get into shape. It's a gimmick to get you to buy their product. Not saying it's true or not, just what I read.

I just got a pair Tuesday, I got the flip flops though, I HATE constricting shoes. If anyone is interested, I got them at Ross Dress for Less for $20 :cool1: I was so excited. They had the sneakers too, not sure how much they were since I knew I was not getting them.

Anyway, I got them to wear around that house since I'm a SAH/homeschool mom. I wore them for the first full day yesterday, they feel good. I can feel myself walking straighter, standing straighter. I put on my regular sandles to go out and it felt so odd. I can't really say if they will do what they claim, but I am sure going to keep using them and give it a try!

I wear them because I have plantar faciitis. They make a huge difference! I have noticed a slight loosening in my pants, as well. All in all, I love the shoes!

Mine do nothing for my behind, but I often work 10-11 hour shifts with no breaks and my feet don't hurt anymore. With my old tennis shoes and crocs, there were days I was hobbling at the end of the shift, with these ones, I can't even tell I was on my feet all day. I'm heading to WDW next week, and really am thinking about buying a pair of tennis shoes just for walking in the park as I wear the Mary Jane style for work. Would definitely buy them again.
