Hi all,

I have a pair of Sketchers Go Walk 2's and really enjoying wearing them, but I'm really worried about them not holding up to Disney walking!
I know a lot of people here swear by them.

Are you wearing them with/without socks?
Are you adding an insole to them? Like a Dr. Schols thing?

I had major foot/leg problems the last time I went so I'm really nervous about this time around! ** Just a note that was the first trip I ever had issues*

I will also be bringing a pair of really nice flip flops (Cobian Braided Bounce) which I also enjoyed walking in last summer, but again this is Disney walking!

I kind of dont want to bring sneakers because that was part of the problem last time (feet swelled and circulation got totally messed up! the bottom portion of my leg looked all bruised!)

thanks in advance! Trip is in 33 days!

I wear them without socks or any kind of added insoles. They work great for me, but I don't have any foot or leg problems. I wouldn't wear flip flops in the parks ever, but that's me.

I bought the Go Walks for our trip last August and wore them just about all week in the parks with no problems :thumbsup2 No socks or insole.

I do wear flip-flops in the parks also, Nike and Under Armour, and don't have problems with them but I rotate every couple days between the flip flips and either sneakers or now the Go Walks.

I started having little toe and feet issues just before our Disney trip last year. Nothing was comfortable and was stressing how I'd survive Disney. People mentioned the Go Walks so I tried them. Loved them. Wore them with thin sock and they were great (one week trip but 5 full days of walking).

I have foot problems and used them this fall with the Dr Scholl inserts. (blue ones...12 hour standing or something like that) and had no problems at all. Love them!! :thumbsup2

The absolutely only way I can survive disney walking with little to no foot pain is to rotate shoes. At least two pairs and never the same pair twice in a row. Shoes can even be slightly more uncomfortable (not the perfect shoe) if I do that.

I often do go walks rotated with flip flops or some kind of walking sandal.

I second this thought! I wore mine at Disneyland/California Adventure all day with and w/o socks and with the inserts for added support they were great! I too have acquired myself a round of plantar fasciitis too, ain't age grand!?:rolleyes1

I LOVE them! I ended up having to wear them with socks because my feet got wet the first day and I ended up getting a huge blister one the bottom of my foot. The socks were very attractive, but they helped and I was fine for the rest of the trip!

Before I found Go Walks, I tried a number of different shoes and ended up with horrible blisters every time, despite only wearing shoes that were well broken in, using Body Glide, etc.

Since I've had Go Walks (3 trips) - not one blister. BUT - I'm superstitious/extra cautious, and wear them with socks while in the parks. They look very very strange. And I don't care. (much)

I may get brave and try a day without socks this trip - but likely not. Just not worth it to me.

I have a pair of GoWalks that has been fantastic for me. I wore those shoes in a Color Run and for lots of other walking. I never wore them with socks. I loved them so much that I bought two new pairs to wear for our WDW trip in May 2013. I don't know if they just weren't broken in or what, but I got the worst blisters I have ever had. I had two different styles of shoes, so I had blisters in different places. It was awful. So when we went this past Dec., I wore socks with them. That made all the difference. In the future, I will take my tried and true pairs, or I will wear socks (no-show socks if we're there in the summer) with them.

Have arthritis with constant knee, hip, ankle and lower back pain. Have always worn supportive running shoes to Disney. When I got my first Go Walks (loafer style) I took them but also my running shoes. Honestly I didn't expect to last the day. I LOVED THEM. I can walk all day long without the increased pain I used to have. I now live in them and have about ten different pair. I wear them with and without socks depending on the weather. What I do love is during rainy season I wear without socks and they dry very quickly. I even have a paint speckled pair I call my Disney Studios shoes - they seem to fit in. :)

I find the go Walk to be great for running errands but there's no way I'd be comfortable using them for a full day in the parks.

I wear my go walks in the parks all day with no socks. A few trips ago I got really bad blisters for the first time ever when I wore flip flops. So now I always wear mole skin on the bottom of my feet with any shoe.

I have 4 or 5 different pairs of GoWalks and I use them on a daily basis for work and day to day errands.

At home, I typically don't wear socks with my GoWalks and they're just fine. At WDW, however, all the extra walking makes my feet a little sweaty and they'll slide around in my shoes which can be uncomfortable. So now I always wear socks with my GoWalks when I'm at the parks.

I swear by the GoWalks in the parks, honestly. I wouldn't wear any other type of shoe!

The only shoe I've found that I had basically no problems whatsoever are the Teva sandals I have.

I wore my Go Run sketchers during our last trip and they were great. I recently purchased a pair of Go Walks for our next trip and am breaking them in . . .so far , so good. They're comfortable on the treadmill, and I love the extra cushioning. I wear them with light socks.
I also wear a pair of Clarks walking sandals that I love; walked around Toronto with them last summer and they were great, so I'm going to bring those the parks too.

I have 2 pairs of Go Walks and wear them without socks at WDW. I was skeptical about them as I have flat feet that tend to give me issues no matter what and sneaker type shoes tend to give me more problems at Disney. In the past I've always rotated between a few pairs of Reef flip flops.

I am now a Go Walk convert, big time. I love them and I have no issues at all. I do have to break them in at home wearing socks before going because if I wear them without socks out of the box, I end up with blisters on the back of my upper heel - where the little back strap hits. If I wear them a few times with socks at home, I don't have an issue wearing them without socks later.

I wore mine on our last trip. They are so comfortable they worked out great for the parks. I wear mine with out socks. I plan on getting some croc strap sandles very comfy.

After reading reviews here I was hoping they would work but no dice. They feel great to start about 10mins in I feel the discomfort. I own a pair of go walk 1's maybe a trip to the grocery store and my feet say no no no.:3dglasses. TEVA and Clark's work great so far.

I wore my GoWalks for the first time in the parks for Christmas-New Year's week and they were awesome! I wore them without socks for 8 park days and didn't get a single blister or have any problems for the first time ever :)
