Wearing without socks are feet sweaty? I generally prefer wearing socks but thought I'd try a pair of go walks without socks.

I had not gone sockless in years and years...until I bought my latest pair of Skechers. They have a liner stitched right into them so no socks required. I love them and wear them nearly every day! They're washable in the washing machine as well (I just let them air dry). Love, love, love my Skechers!

My feet don't get sweaty in them but after awhile they do start to smell. The good news is they can be machine washed. Just throw them in with a dark load but don't put them in the dryer.

I've worn mine with and without, and find them to be most comfortable when I'm not wearing socks. I love these shoes!

Thanks everyone!

I have a few pairs of skechers sandals that I just love. So comfortable and feel as though I am walking on pillows. I walked a couple of miles in them in Barbados last year.....sidewalks were not cement, dirt and rocks. No problems whatsoever in the heat, either.

Decided to try a pair of Go Walks but they look better without socks and was a bit hesitant. I was shocked as to how many styles there are! I thought I would just go in and buy a pair....:confused3 I had a hard time choosing which ones to buy. I also know that if I like these, i will be getting several other styles.

I have never been one to not wear socks...unless, I wear sandals. I do not like that sweaty foot feel. Anxious to give these a try.

I have a ganglion cyst on the top of my foot (swell place, right?) and these are the only shoes I can wear right now that don't put pressure on that area (having surgery at the end of September to remove it since it was drained once and came back).

I picked up some no-show socks to wear with them so I could wear shorts.

I *need* to wear socks with shoes. Just a weird thing, I guess.

My feet definitely get sweaty in GoWalks, but the shoes absorb it pretty well so they don't feel sweaty. The problem is that they start to smell pretty quickly. I do like that they're machine washable and end up washing them frequently.

I bought some last year hoping they would work well for my Disney trip. I wore them for long walks to try them out. I found that they didn't have enough support for my taste. I need a really firm sole with some cushioning for the bottoms of my feet. In the GoWalks, my feet ended up sore and I even got blisters if I walked for a long time. I ended up wearing sneakers on my trip which worked much better for me. I do like the GoWalks for wearing around town on hot days. I also like them around the house because I can slip them on and off easily.

Not weird to *need* socks ;) I am basically the same way....I have just been hearing so much about the Go Walks and not wearing socks. If I do not like the feel, I will wind up with no show socks, too. I don't like to go barefoot in the the house..I *need* slippers. There is no way in heck, I can go barefoot outside...hated it as a kid, too. so that may be weird. :rotfl:

BTW, I have bone spurs on the top of my feet :confused3

This is what I am thinking for myself as well. When we've been to Disney, it's been in August or September and very hot & humid. I have worn socks and sneakers for the same reason. This year, going to the Smoky Mountains and will have my sneakers with me but was looking for something to walk around in the evening with, as we've heard the evenings get cooler. I didn't want the socks/sneakers and thought that my sandals (Skechers) may have my feet a bit on the cool side. Also, thought I'd throw the Go Walks in the car if we are out and about during the day and find a place to walk that we like. If I need the sneakers I will have them.

My feet sweat easily so we will see how it goes but the Go Walks are so comfy.

Hi,

Got a question as I just bought a pair of these due to having really bad little toe pain (and only 3 weeks away from our trip). Has anyone tried wearing these all day at Disney? If so, are they ok on your feet? Your back? The sale person warned that they are not good shoes for Disney as they have no support.

I bought a pair of Go Walks 1/2 size larger than I normally wear so I could put my orthotics in them. Talk about heaven! I went back and bought two more pairs. I wear them seven days a week and regularly throw them in the wash or just suds them in a bucket and hang them up to dry. For the first time in my life, I can wear shoes without socks. I have happy toes!

I got a pair for disney. What a disaster. I developed a massive bluster in the bottom of my toe. This was even on a no park day. Just walking the halls at Kidani. I bought an emergency pair of mickey crocs at the jambo hoyse gift shop. Never have I been so glad to get a pair of shoes off.

I do wear them for errands at home but I get sweaty and stinky pretty fast. Check out all he new styles of crocs. I find them better for disney.

I wore them for 9 full days at Universal and Disney. Wore nothing else but my GoWalks. My feet and legs NEVER hurt, I've never felt so good walking on a trip.
I went in August, my feet didn't feel sweaty at all. I have never worn socks with them.
I washed them once, but that was because I got them muddy at home.

I'm new to the Sketchers brand. Do the GoWalks have the memory foam? I bought my first pair the other day with memory foam, and are they ever comfortable! I haven't tried them without socks yet, but there was something about them being Antimicrobial (or something) that suggested I could. I'll be testing them for sure at WDW next week.

I have a pair of memory foam Go Walks and I agree that are are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn!

I've worn them without socks before but my feet do get a little sweaty so I would wear socks.
