I believe that Race Rock is closed though just up a bit on I-Drive.

Don't forget to get some tourist coupon books from the brochure rack at your hotel; there are always Sizzler discount coupons in them!

Stayed at the Quality Inn Plaza in '06. There's a Sizzler nearly next door to it, it's a 2 minute walk at most.

Just head out the plaza and take a right if I remember correctly .

I was last at Quality Inn Plaza in 96, so i am expecting a lot of change, but we did enjoy the quick trip to the sizzler, especially one waiter who would clear a table with a comic flair i've yet to encounter again!!!, and king henry's feast which was, but now not, to my understanding just up the road, oh the memories come flooding back.

You also have a pizza hut, Houlihans and Ming Court really close to sizzlers.

Also don't forget the Pointe Orlando, across I drive from sizzlers.

Ming Court has great food and plenty of it,and if the children don't like chinese food they do kids meals served in a fancy box-which consists of chicken fingers,rice or noodles+prawn crackers(there was other kids meals but don't remember them).x.

There is an abundance of eateries on the southern end of I-Drive within easy walking of the QIP (be careful crossing the road!)

my mum loved this place when we went a few years ago, she always talks about it when we talk about florida. not sure if it was the hotel you mentioned but it was right next door to us.

if you have a car there are plenty of places to eat on i drive all within 4/5 nins drive and hence you are not limited to those on you door step.

If you want a suggestion for affordable good steaks-- look for the new Texas Road House. You can get great steaks -- Ribeyes, New York Strips, Sirloins for $9-15 including salad(caesar or side) and monster baked potatoes. They just opened one in Orlando. Great western atmosphere, peanuts in the shell and IMO beats the HE double L out of Sizzler.
