How's that for a bland question?:rolleyes1

We are new members and our first stay will be in April. We haven't been to WDW in 15 years so we know nothing! I have just been reading the board for info. Anyway, I just found a post about all the fees for housekeeping and the extras packages (thanks to whoever posted that) and would like to know the general size of the items they provide at the beginning of the stay: shampoo, conditioner, soap, coffee, anything else you can thing of. Are they the little itty bitty ones provided in a typical hotel or are they bigger? We went on DCL in Sept but can't remember the sizes of the soaps, etc. Also, I'm assuming that you don't get refills on day 4 service but do you get refills if you stay longer than a week? We are driving but space is at a premium with 3 kids so if I don't need to bring extras, I'd rather not.

OK, one more - does anyone utilize the shopping service they offer? I looked at the price list - We're from NC and the prices seem *very* high compared to ours but I don't know what local prices are. Again, we'll be driving so we would be able to do it ourselves but who wants to shop when we could be playing!

TIA

Alison

You get one small bottle of shampoo, shower gel and conditioner per bathing facility. Plus one bar of soap for each washing facility - one per sink, one per shower. If you are in the one bedroom, you'll get two shampoos, two conditioners, two shower gels (one for the shower, one for the tub). These are the same ones you get in the standard hotel rooms.

You'll get one filtered pack of coffee, maybe two, with a couple of sugar packs, creamer packs, sweetner packs.

I typically use Garden Grocer to stock up---it's very convenient. They have a much better selection, some things are a little more expensive than DVC's price list, other things are less. I figure I spend an extra $30-$50 or so when you figure in tips, delivery charge, and pricing compared to shopping in a local Publix etc. myself. But, it's a lot more pleasant to just have stuff show up.

You will get refilled on day 4 (trash & towel day) but I don't think it's enough for 5 people. We usually bring a small bag with our own travel sizes to supplement the ones from the room. Actually I use the room soap & shampoo, DW uses her own stuff, and DD8 uses the shower gel from the room and her own shampoo. Hope this helps. :goodvibes

We bring our own travel size bottles with our own products from home. They are TSA approved sizes (3 oz or less). The ones at the DVC resorts are smaller than the ones you receive on DCL or that you buy at the store. I saved the ones from the DVC resorts to put in my DS's swim bag as he sometimes showers at the pool after swim practice then I refill them (they're a perfect size for him). ANYWAY, I just looked and the DVC bottles are only 1.25 oz each. I would say it's probably enough for 1-2 people for 1 week if you shower just once per day. They give you Shampoo, Conditioner & Shower Gel.

We have not used the Villa shopping service, but we have ordered through wegoshop.com. The cost is the actual cost of the items (they give you the receipt - no markup), and a reasonable delivery fee. We believe we have saved the delivery fee over what Disney charges in their stores.
Marge Peck is the owner and she is easy to work with.
Good Luck
