Size of fridge at HOJO?

I'm trying to plan on bringing as many groceries as possible but want to make sure I have room for them! Are the fridges decent sized? Could I fit a gallon of milk or 2???

They're dorm sized fridges. Not big enough for a gallon, unless you took out a shelf, or laid it on its side. I can usually fit a six pack of soda, 2 cartons of soy milk, some meats and cheeses, yogurts, and some juice boxes. That's about it.

Thanks! By 2 cartons of soy milk, do you mean the cartons that are like 1/2 gallon size?

My soy milk cartons are the small, one quart kind. I've never tried to fit a 1/2 gallon in the fridge, but I'm sure others have. Hopefully some other HoJo regulars will respond.

Hm...the one we had on our last visit was big enough for a gallon. I wonder if the size varies by room...maybe they have been replaced bit-by-bit as needed?!

The one we had was the larger of the portable sized fridges.

Then again, maybe we got one of the old ones and they've since been replaced by the smaller size.

I deal with fridge limitations by taking powdered milk. We use it on cereal and mix it half-and-half with regular milk for drinking.

We stayed in a premium room in building one last October, and ours was the square dorm sized. I'd say 18"x19", the size of the one we have in our garage which I just went and measured . I can fit a gallon in that one if I take out the rack. At HoJo, we had a half-gallon carton each of milk and juice, and also put about 6 cups of yogurt and 6 bottles of water at a time in there.

Edited to add: When we got there I was a little concerned because the fridge didn't seem very cold. That's because, if the room wasn't occupied the night before you arrive, they don't turn them on until right before you get there. Others on this board had had the same experience. However, it chilled right up and was just fine for keeping our stuff cold and fresh.

We just got back as well. We were in building 2 and the fridge was a small square type. I doubt it would fit a gallon of milk, and if it did it wouldn't fit much else!
