I am still amazed at how busy this suppossedly off-season time has become. We have been back for a week and I still can't believe one afternoon there was a 40 minute wait for peter pan's ride!!!! Has anyone else been noticing this????

I've read a few posts stating how slow it was yours is the first saying it was crowded. Did you feel the rest of the park and the other parks were crowded or just fantasy land? We usually go at slow times and fantasy land always seems more crowded than the rest of the park.

It wasn't crowded during the week, but it got busy on the weekend. MGM was crowded on EMH day, and MK was crowded on Saturday, Spectromagic day. Epcot was kinda crowded on Friday, late EMH day. It wasn't as crowded as Christmas, but it was just as crowded as last Feb. and Octobers and Novembers we have gone. I thought late August was actually less crowded, but I planned more carefully what parks to hit on which days to avoid crowds. It doesn't seem that there are any months when the parks are not at all crowded anymore.

You are right, however this same day, I literally could not move in Adventurland due to the crowds--I honestly never saw anything like it except when we went one year in August (96 or 97). I did notice alot of tour groups with the yellow flags. They would grab onto each other and push through the crowds. Once or twice I just followed behind them. Anywhere we went, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Disney Studios--crowded!!! I can't imagine what it must be like now in the Summers. I was glad we left everyday around lunch time for a break. We needed a bit of downtime after getting through all the crowds. [Also, most TS we ate they were turning away walk-in's.]

The afternoon I was in MK was Thursday, it was packed!!!

In all the times I've gone to Disneyworld, including spring break, the week of January 2 thru 8 of this year was THE most crowded I've ever encountered. Who would have thought?!

We have been to WDW probably 10 times in the last 6 years and there has been a 40 minute wait for Peter Pan every time I think! It is always packed!!
Atleast we finally got to ride with no wait in November at Disneyland Paris. All the rides were a walk-on the day we were there!

This past Dec (16-23rd) we encountered a few short lines at Peter Pan. Only rode it once as my daughter screamed the entire time. Early seems best for short lines.

Jan 15th - 21st didn't wait in line for anything.

Soaring was 20 mins but got a fast pass.

We were there January 14-20 and we used FastPass to avoid the 50 minute wait at Peter Pan's flight and the 50 minute wait as Big Thunder Mountain.

We were there the same time as you, yes it was very crowded, but by utilizing fast pass, our longest wait for any attraction was 20 minutes. I still believe there are now 2 seasons at WDW, crowded season and very crowded season. That is why it is the number one vacation destination in the world. JMO :)
