im going to disneyland for my birthday with some close friends, one of whom is a size 20/22, 3xl person. i would hate to embarrass her, and Goofy's Flight School is my favorite ride. would she fit? i'm a size 16 with big thighs and ive fit fine in the past, but she's very sensitive about her weight and id hate to embarrass her.

also, are there any other rides that may be an issue?

It really depends on her build. I was a size 20 for a while and was able to ride (though it was a tight fit on my legs), but most of my weight was in my hips and legs. If the weight is more in the belly area, it might be harder I think.

I agree. Also you may want to skip the swings when I was at my heaviest, I did not fit. I was a 22/24.

My sibs are that size. They fit but it’s a tight squeeze. It’s uncomfortable and they don’t like to ride.

You could go up on the platform that looks down on the track and watch people on the ride.
Here are a couple of pic I have from a past visit of the ride cars. My grandkids would ride that ride over and over.2019-08 CaAdv10-7-05 006a.jpg2019-08 CaAdv10-7-05 031.jpg

I’m a size 20/22. I’m hold my weight in my waist and chest and didn’t have any issues with the ride. I personally don’t like the ride so it’s a once every few years kind of ride with for me.

It's a tight squeeze for a bigger / taller person, but do able! For me, the issue was leg room, but I made it happen!

There are several threads on this forum about this very topic -- do a search to see what comes up. As pp noted, different people carry their weight differently, so some rides pose issues for some people, but not for others.
Here's a recent thread: Plus size and Disneyland
Does your friend have any problems with turnstiles, especially if they are in a tight place? For example, the queue for Peter Pan has a turnstile in a tight corner -- would that be a problem? I think Jungle Cruise has a turnstile. BTMRR has a turnstile before you go up the stairs. There may be more -- other posters can chime in. Also, if your friend will need more time to load/unload comfortably from any ride vehicle, don't hesitate to ask a CM before you get to the loading area. It's not embarrassing at all -- many people ask for all kinds of reasons. The loading/unloading cycles for rides can be surprisingly short, so if anyone needs a little more time, it can be wise just to ask first.

I'm a 22/24 and Goofy's is the only ride I don't do between both parks. I do technically fit, but it's so uncomfortable I'm miserable the whole time. I don't have any problems with turnstiles or loading/unloading on any other rides. I'm 5'3" and my weight is pretty evenly distributed everywhere.
