six year old on Rock'n' Roller Coaster

I'm not into the crazy coasters and I love RnRC..I don't even find the launch that bad..I'm not sure I agree with the post about Splash being less intense, believe it or not. I hate that big drop on Splash..RnRC really has no drops..it does go upside down, but you're in the dark, so it's not that bad.

My youngest did both rides when she was six. Loved RnR but hated ToT. Still is that way and she's 11 now.

My DD6 rides anything she is tall enough for and cares to try. The beauty of it is that if she doesn't like something, she doesn't have to go back. You will never know if you are mising what could be a favorite ride if you don't try it. So far the only thing that we have ridden that is a no go for anyone was mission space orange, and justfor me. I go sooooo sick, but DD and DH LOVED it.

DS is 3 and loved TOT! He also liked Dinosaur, Splash, Big Thunder and Test Track. He really wanted to ride Space Mountain but was 2 inches too short. He's our little daredevil!

We just took ds 7 to valleyfair this past weekend to see how he would do with the rides and lines at disney this winter. He did not like the big coaster's or the fast, upside down type of rides. I have been showing my son ride video's and try to get him to see what it does before he goes on. He can't wait to get on tower of terror. rock and coaster prob will not happen since it goes upside down.

In '09, our youngest DD, who was not quite 6 at the time, absolutely LOVED RNRC but not ToT. I think the theming & anticipation of ToT was a bit much for her. She rode it once & said she would ride it again "on the next trip". RNRC was another story! She probably rode it 7 or 8 times & begged for more. She was also overwhelmed by EE because of the Yeti but Dinosaur didn't bother her in the least. Go figure.

Wow, there sure are some brave (and TALL) 3-year-olds out there. I was a big chicken and didn't do BTMRR or SM until my teens. I've been a coaster junkie pretty much ever since....

It depends on the kid, really. My ds turned 6 a couple of months before we went last year, and he rode all of the big rides and enjoyed them. My dd is even more of a daredevil, but she's tiny so it'll be a while for her.

My DD was 6 1/2 on her first ride on RNR. She rode it about 10 times that trip. She's a total daredevil and loves coasters. She loved ToT and everything else her first trip at age 5

DS was almost 4 when he rode ToT. He hated it. He'd never survive on RNR. I'm wondering if I should even try Everest with him.

Actually, RNR was my DD's first EVER roller coaster - and she rode it when she was 6!

I realize this may not be true for everyone, but she absolutely loved it or in her words "That was totally awesome - can we go again?!?"
Was I nervous? Of course - especially since I was sitting behind her and DH and couldn't tell until the end how she was handling it.
