Would you let your six year on RNR and TOT?
My DS wants to go on them I just don't know if he can handle them.
Me or DH have not been on them so it is hard to judge.
He is fine on Splash mountain and small coasters at home.
What do you think?:tigger:

If he wants to and is tall enough, then GO FOR IT!! :thumbsup2

(That being said, mine turned 7 on our last trip and was gung ho to try it since he loves Space Mountain and EE but couldn't get off of it fast enough. He really hated the upside down parts)

Our 5 year old will not let us forget TOT is going to be his FIRST ride this year!!! RNR he is half an inch too short for. But I am sure he will go on it next time:thumbsup2

TOT was my son's favorite ride when he was 6. He rode it 5 times in a row one evening. He would have loved to have tried RnR, but he was not tall enough. RnR was his 8-year-old brother's favorite ride (and the restraints fit well at 51").

If your child is tall enough, go for it.

My 4 yr old was fine on Splash. He's 6 and a half now and I really don't think he's ready for either of those rides. It really depends on the child. I'm pretty sure it's too much for mine. He'll have to wait until he's older.

I'm not sure if I would or not. Every child is so different. I think it is a very intense ride- mainly in the beginning. He may not like the first few seconds of the ride- it can feel like you're having a hard time breathing- at least it does to me. :rotfl: But once you get passed that, other than the upside down twists, it's a blast. I'm such a baby though- lol.

Rnr is my sons favorite ride... he has been riding it since he was 5. (he is very tall for his age.)

Take him on Space Mountain first... RNR is dark like SM, so if he really likes Space M he will be fine! ToT is dark too.

In 2007 my 7 yo enjoyed RnR - he was thrilled that he went upside down! But Everest scared him and he wouldn't ride it. My 5 and 4 yo DDs were too short for both RnR and Everest. My 5 yo DD was just tall enough for ToT, and absolutely loved it (especially when her bottom got some air time lol) - DS survived it, but not with the same level of excitement as DD! DD was so disappointed she couldn't ride RnR and Everest, and so thrilled that this year she will be tall enough finally at 9 yo (she's petite)! Youngest DD is happy that she'll finally get to do ToT (she's petite too). So I guess all of mine like thrill rides.

Well only you can really know your child but my son was 6 the first time he rode it and he LOVED IT. Of course he went on Space mountain for the first time at 3 ;) and that has always been his favorite.

It is worlds more intense than Splash Mountain--it goes very very fast and upside down. I'd start with TOT and see how he does. My kids are very funny with TOT though, they hate the ghost/scary element but like the drop part. But the scary part is enough to keep them off it sometimes.

My son wasn't tall enough on our first trip (he was 7), but I would have let him if he had been.

My 4 year old niece just came back from WDW. Before she went my sister asked what rides she could go on for her height 42.5".

I scrolled down the list on my phone and I'm like OMG she can ride ToT. We were both apprehensive about her riding mostly because of the part before you drop. Oh and the 80 foot drop. :scared1:

Well 11:00 on the morning I knew they were going to be in DHS I get a call, it was my niece screaming Uncle Cliff I just rode ToT and we went up and down and up and down ... this went on for a few minutes. Over the phone I could hear it her voice that she was jumping up and down while she was telling me about the ride.

Only you know your kid.

Tell him to keep his head back, hang on tight .......and SCREAM!! :)

This just put a giant smile on my face.

My 7 year old (who was only 49") rode it. He is not a daredevil by any means, but he is the kind of kid who likes to try new things. We started with smaller coasters at other parks first, but he rode and LOVED both ToT and RnR. In fact he loved every coaster at every park.

Show him the youtube videos AND just make sure he knows that it takes off FAST! That's the scariest part -- the rest is smooth sailing.

If you're tentative, it's a better ride than Space Mountain -- because at least you can sit next to each other.

As said before- you know your kid best...

My 2 youngest are extremely different DD was 6 at our last trip- and LOVED ToT and EE- and provided us with one of our favorite lines of the trip "On ToT, my buttocks did not stay on the seat, Mom."

My DS who was 7 is NOT a dare devil...he was terrified of dark rides, and anything 3D- so we didn't even approach it...

Let your kid decide! They know what they can handle!

Good Luck!

My DD6 rode RnR for the first time last October and loved it. It was her first upside down coaster. She rode it multiple times on that trip.

She rode ToT for the first time at 3 years old. She loved it that year and when she was 4, but when she turned five, the pre-show scared her and she didn't want to ride again. Now that she's almost 7, we're past that, and I suspect she'll love it again.

If your DS is willing, let him ride. That's the only way you'll know for sure.

It really just depends on the kid. When my niece was 6, RNR was her favorite ride. My DD is 4 1/2 and I don't see her going on it at 6, but I might be wrong. DD rode the Barnstormer 11 times in a row last December (an MVMCP night- there was no line and they just let her stay on over and over), but she refuses to even try Big Thunder.

My kids have been riding Tower of Terror since they were about 4 years old. They have been riding Rockin' Roller Coaster since they were about 6 years old. They still love them both.
