Are we mad to even contemplate this one?

We are staying close to Hollywood Boulevard for the first part of our vacation and DD, being 19, was really interested in the coasters and stuff at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Here's the snag - we wont have a car.:rotfl:

I looked up on the LA Metro website and we can take a metro (red Line) from Hollywood and Highland very closer to where we are and then take a bus near North Hollywood station and then another bus after that - it takes around 1 hour 37 minutes.

Would you/have you done this? When we are going, the park only opens at 10.30am but only at weekends (would have preferred mid week!) but at least we don't have to set out too early. Are we crazy? :crazy2::crazy2::crazy2:

I don't really have any info for you as I am looking at this park also.

But I just came across a tour from www.lasightseeing.net that has tours from LA hotels to Six Flags Magic Mountain. Not sure if they are any good or not as I've just started researching.
