I took my family to Six Flags here in Mexico City today. We had a good time, but there was one thing that really bugged the fire out of me (to steal a quote from my wife). Unlike many amusement parks, Six Flags here doesn't offer a general free fast pass system. Instead they have two alternatives. The first is a Flash pass that you can purchase for 10 dollars that entiltles you to three fast passes. Every person in your party is required to purchase one of these flash passes if they all want to go together. Even though I'm not crazy about this system, it's not too bad I guess. the other alternative is what really gets me though. for 65 dollars (adults) or 40 dollars (kids) you can purchase a V.I.P. pass. With this pass you have unlimited fast passes all day long. Now, in itself, it might not be too bad either, BUT, unlike most parks, there is no limit as to how many fast pass people can go at once. For example, I was in line for a ride and there were about 400 people in line with me. My son and I were only 5 and 6 people back from being next. suddenly the operator started letting in the V.I.P. people before the regular people. The ride seated 40 people. 36 V.I.Pers were let on before us. So even though we were only 5 from the front, we still had to wait for the next ride. I can't believe that they don't have enough sense to limit how many V.I.Pers are allowed on each ride at one time. It might mean that they might have to wait one or two more turns, but it still beats waiting through 400 people. Talk about catering to the rich. :sad2:
On the good side, though, I only saw 1 heely at the park today. :thumbsup2

They have the same (or at least one similar) system here in the US.

We went to Six Flags Over Georgia today. We splurged to the tune of $165 for the five of us for a "Gold" Flash Pass. We only had to wait up to 5 minutes for our ride times to open, but once we got to the ride they were pretty fair about the # of Flash Passers who were put on a ride or they alternated between Flash Pass riders and stand by riders. I guess the Flash Pass policy varies among different SF parks. It seems like the FP options you have there are pretty different from ours here, too. I did hear one person complaining that SF still has a lot of kinks to work out of their FP system and that "Universal Studios system works like clock work!" I've never been to Universal, but I had to laugh that they could compare SF with US! But I'm sure she had a point. I'm sorry your park is having such a rough time with the FP, but I hope you all had as much fun as we did! My boys have turned into WDW snobs like their mom, :goodvibes but they made sure that I knew that "even though it wasn't Disney, we had the best day ever!"

We also saw very few Heelys!!

They are selling $199 per person VIP treatment when our SixFlags open.

It gets you the SpeedPass, parking a character meal and Photo.

Even though it's way cheaper and closer we are doing a Hershey season pass this year instead of SF.

Don't even make me post our character photo from last year as I have to pay DD royalties every time I post it.

Hey at least you have a fast pass system.

At our local amusement park if the wait for a ride is an hour than its an hour. And thats after the $30.00 admission. And believe me our local park nowhere compares to any Six Flags.
