Just to let people know - Six Flags has a deal right now that if you buy 4 or more season passes and activate them before the end of this year, you will get admission for the rest of this year in addition to 2014. You will also be upgraded to Gold Passes which include free parking, extra Bring A Friend Free coupons, admission to all Six Flags parks as well as other benefits. Different parks charge different prices and have different dates that the tickets must be activated by. I was able to get ours for Six Flags New England for $49.99 each and we must activate them by November 3.

It is a good deal. Six Flags NJ is charging 67.99 but with the added benefits it's basically the cost of one admission without discounts. We got this deal last year and with the 4 trips we made to the park it was well worth it.

My family have season passes to Six Flags NE and we try and get there at least once a month. It is an hour drive but a great way to spend the day. We love the water parks best.
If you are close enough you can get your AP at the New England park where it is cheaper and use it for any of the other Six Flags. We drove to NJ twice this year and with the Gold Passes parking was free at any park.
My brother and his family also have gold APs and they have gone to 6 different Six Flags this year

What exactly does the Gold membership get you besides free parking? Trying to make this work when $$ is tight but will save us even if we visit once! Mine is showing
Anyone ever used the "Fast Pass" system there? Does it work?

And mine for NE are showing as 54.99. Is there a promo code or something I am missing for the 49.99?

Need some help purchasing passes for Great Adventure. We live close to Great Adventure, but haven't gone there too much. We preferred Sesame Place, but sad to say my babies are too grown up now for Elmo and friends :sad1:. Great Adventure is sooo not Disney! :lmao: It does have 2 things going for it - we can be there in 30 minutes by car and the price of a season pass is less than 10% the price of a Disney World premium annual pass :rotfl2:

Currently, Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ if you purchase 4 of the regular pass now for $68 each each pass is upgraded to gold pass so the Water park (Hurricane Harbour) is included and free parking at all Six Flags parks?
$68x4=$272 plus 7% NJ tax
Is this correct?? Is this a good price?? Will there be a cheaper price if we wait? There is a further 5% discount if paying with Discover.

There is an $8.99 fee to purchase online. Is it better to purchase at the park?
If parking is $25 do you pay the parking then show the receipt and be reimbursed when you purchase the passes at the park? (I work 30 minutes down the road and I cannot believe parking at GA is $25!!)

There is also a membership. It is $6.35 a month for 12 months plus an $8.99 online fee (not available at the park). Assuming you are purchasing 4 memberships, it gives access to water park and parking. After 12 month obligation, it continues at the same monthly rate until you cancel. This costs a total of $8 per pass more per year. Worth it to lock in price, not have to go to pass processing next year, and not pay all upfront?? The site implies the monthly price will stay the same and the pass benefits will stay the same, but I do not see anything guaranteeing the monthly membership dues will not increase. Anyone have any thoughts which is the better way to go - the pass or the membership?

There is a special deal on a meal pass for $75. Every day you go to the park you get a lunch (before 3:30) and a dinner. From the menu list it looks like a lot of chicken strips, fries, nachos, pizza and an occassional salad or cheeseburger. No drink or dessert. It is $20 more to add eating at the water park. Worth it for the kids?

Thanks!

The prices now are the cheapest they will get. They go up in price usually after the special pricing ends at the end of October.

I found the dining pass for $75 to be worth it. Before they started offering it this year, I refused to ever eat in the park because of how expensive it is and always went to WaWa outside the park either before or after going to the park. Now I can stop to get a meal and not think about the cost. Most of the meals are $10 - $12 so if you go a lot, it will end up saving a lot of money.

For drinks they offer a souvenir bottle for $9.99 (the regular price is $14.99 but they discount it to $9.99 if you buy the dining pass). You get free refills all day on the day you buy it and then $0.99 refills the rest of the season or you can pay $3.99 to get unlimited refills on another day after the first day you buy it. I wouldn't buy it until next year though since they are still selling the 2013 bottles and they won't be good next year.

I'm not sure about the parking but I would think if you buy the passes online and print out the voucher, and it shows a gold pass they would allow you to use that to park for free. That's how it used to be when I would buy a parking pass, they used the printout to let me park for free before I processed my season pass and parking.

Besides what was already mentioned, a Gold Pass also gets you early entry. They open the gates 10 minutes early for Gold passholders which allows you to be one of the first in line for a ride. Flashpass is expensive (I've never used it but have seen how it works) but the upper levels are better than Fast Pass. Regular makes you wait the same amount of time as the regular line, gold reduces the time up to 50%, platinum reduces the time 90% and allows you to ride twice. So if the line for a ride is 60 minutes, with regular you can enter the Flashpass line in 60 minutes, 30 minutes with gold and 6 minutes with Platinum. I prefer to go on slow days when lines are short so I don't have to use Flashpass. To give an idea of how expensive it is, at Great Adventure regular is $50 for 1 person, gold is $80 for 1 person and platinum is $120 or $125 for 1 person and then after that the cost to add more people is less. For regular I think after the first person, it is $33 a person.

We had season passes this year and I bought the ones for next year through a link in the passholder newsletter. Maybe that explains the price difference?
