Six Flags Over Texas

We are considering going to Six Flags in a couple of weeks. What hotels do you recommend in the area? Is Six Flags worth the price. I know it's not WDW, but was hoping that it may be a temporary 'fix!' LOL

Six Flags is more ride oriented then Disney. But I think they have their FrightFest going on which was kinda fun when I went years ago (go at night obviously).

Most any hotel/motel in the area is pretty good.

It isn't Disney but it is a lot of fun.

Try Drury Inn. We stayed there a few years ago and the kids liked it. Plus they have an indoor pool, free breakfast and evening snacks. We thought it was a good value. Do I sound like a commercial? LOL!

DH and DD are going to Six Flags the first week in Nov. They say it is definately worth the price. They go there every time we go to San Antonio. DH thinks there is a deal where everyone pays the kid's price right now. I agree with the Drury Inn although it is expensive. But, they give you a free breakfast and free evening snacks which are heavy enough for dinner, so you can save money on meals that way. If you stay away from Downtown and the Riverwalk area, you can get some good motel prices. The Riverwalk is a neat place to spend a day and the Alamo is not to be missed.

Actually, the one near San Antonio is Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Six Flags Over Texas is in Arlington, near Dallas/Fort Worth.
