Lots of times "finale" shows are not shown on holidays/holiday weekends, and I'm figuring that is why they are skipping next weekend...just a thought cause it is Memorial Day weekend.

The show seemed a little long in the tooth this year, but the past few weeks have been very good indeed and I'm figuring when it ends up this season, we'll be wishing for more....too bad, wait til whenever it comes back.

Does anyone else find Ruth strange??? LOL, she is not one's typical mom now is she?

Quck synopsis for ya!

The first to die: a serial killer who makes it to Foster Mortuary.

Ruth, David and Clare discuss the fact they think Lisa might have met foul play and is dead.

Lisa is still missing, Nate having all kinds of daydreams as to what happened: the serial killer above offed her, she ran off with prior boyfriend and "meets" her on the beach (like a dream he is having) and she tells him basically it is his fault for their relationship tanking....he returns to his room to cry for awhile.

Nate(who is zombie like still) meets daughter of serial killer above while arranging funeral, later has sex with her, she comes back for "more" and he blows her off

Brenda is trying to call Nate, he won't return calls, she shows up on doorstep, he blows her off, Clare recruits her to take her for her abortion. While "under" having her abortion, Clare sees her Mom standing with her then her boyfriend standing by. Clare then spends some time recupping at Brenda's new place. Clare tells Brenda that she thinks Brenda is still in love with Nate, Brenda denies, saying she will always have a place in her heart ( NEWSFLASH: we all know she still loves/wants him) for him.

David and Frederico have a chat in the embalming room about their relationships and problems. Arthur comes in with a couple bit lines and leaves again.

Ruth has sex with her new boyfriend and they decide to get married, David warns her to slow down and she says to new boyfriend such, he then tells her he has been married 6 previous times They discuss what happened to the 6 other spouses.

David has sex with one of his glee club friends, then decides to confront Keith that he is sick and tired of the whole downward turn their relationship is taking, a little yelling back and forth and he leaves.

Small bit with Frederico, his wife and sister in their living room. Wife is sleeping on couch with him and sister is going on and on about nothing important, he is like fed up with her ramblings.

That's about what I can remember, anyway, at least the high points I hit on. Hope this fills you in a little.

I don't think Nate is dead or on the operating table. I think he's alive and in his own private He**. How nasty was he last night? It was almost enough to make me feel no pity for him. Except I know all of his anger is misdirected - it's really all about his self-loathing. I felt very uncomfortable after last evening's episode - not sure if I liked it or not. FYI, did you know that it was directed by Kathy Bates? Oh yeah, and does anyone else think the Ruth/George storyline is a bit ridiculous? I mean, she wants to get married after TWO WEEKS?!?! I found it a little hard to swallow.

I liked David telling Keith he didn't want to put up with "his meaness" anymore. Keith really does have lots of issues, and his anger gets the best of him. I just hope he doesn't take it out on David in the season finale. (like beating him to a pulp, which I think he is capable of doing)

Thanks for the synopsis, mickey4ever. I don’t have HBO any more, so can you keep them coming? I guess I won’t miss seeing it so much since it was getting a little too weird for me this season. Especially with the mother. And the David/Keith relationship was getting really boring. Did anyone else notice that in the first episode of the season Nate had some kind of vision of Lisa being dead and he and the baby were with Brenda? So I’ve always thought that Lisa was going to be killed off.

I don't think Lisa is dead; I think she may have run off to "test" Nate. I think if she is killed off then it will be very hard for Nate and Brenda to hook up again since or will take too long because, at this point, they don't seem to have another story-line for Brenda so she seems to be just hanging out, waiting for Nate.

I also don't like the Ruth / George thing. I preferred the Ruth/Kathy Bates thing . It just seemed more "real".

Is anyone else fed up with Frederico's constant bad attitude? Although it looks like the finale will have an interesting twist for him, too.

Can't wait!

I missed last week's episode. Did they show Nate actually trying to find out what happened to Lisa? He mentioned last night that he was out putting up posters, but then he has sex with a client.

He seems to be getting over his wife's disappearance very soon. Almost as quickly as Scott Peterson did. Too bad they didn't have a house for him to sell, and that she took her car, so he can't sell that, either.

And, one final thing... when did Maya get a crib? So, it's ok for her to sleep in a family bed with M & D, but not in that same bed if M's away?

...it would have been a little crowded in bed for Maya,with Nate and his new sex partner "carrying on" ...LOL

Nate actually last week did go someplace at the beach where her car was found parked. Clare and David showed up also for moral support. The police don't see overly concerned to me. The whole thing is a little bizarre (ok, this whole show is a little bizarre ) so don't know where this "missing" person storyline is off to.

Alan Ball, the show's writer, had been quoted as saying that the season opener was to throw you off balance - not know what was real - a lot of talk about alternate realities.

Wouldn't it be interesting (a maybe a bit annoying) if they started another of the scenarios they wennt throug in episode 1 of this season - so, not really a dream - but what is real?

I love this show.
