I used to live in Anaheim so I have been to Disneyland too many times to count. However, I am now going on our first Disney World Vacay October 18-23. I am taking my 8yr. grandson. We have tickets for Mickey's Not So Scary HP on Fri. the 18th. We think it best to rest on Saturday after the flight and MNSSHP the day before. I am trying to figure out which Park on which remaining days would be best crowd wise? AK, EP, HS, MK. for Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed. I have looked at predicted crowd calendars and all say Tuesdays, as a rule, are less crowded but it can also be a crap shoot. lol

My grandson has been to Disneyland 3 times so I really want him to experience the rides that Disney World has to offer that Land doesn't. He is a Star Wars fan. but do I need to spend more than one day at HS and forego one of the other three? I noticed that MK is open until 9pm, on Wed. but closes at 6:00 pm on Sun. Mon. Tue. So should we do MK or HS on Wed? TIA

MK probably closes early because of the party on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. I'd say do MK on Wednesday. With EEMH, although nothing can be said for certain right now, I think just one day at HS is fine.

MK has only a few attractions that DLR does not:
  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
  • Country Bear Jamboree
  • Carousel of Progress
  • Hall of Presidents
  • Aladdin’s Magic Carpets
  • PeopleMover
  • Monster’s Inc Laugh Floor
I guess you could add the Treehouse and Barnstormer but both are very similar to attractions at DL, just themed differently. So I think you may want to take advantage of the low crowds at MK on a party day, even if it shortens your day. The only bummer there would be missing the Happily Ever After fireworks, which are simply outstanding, and not really something they could ever hope to do to the same degree on Sleeping Beauty's smaller castle. You could also add on a 6th day to your ticket for only about $10 a person and go to MK for fireworks just for the fireworks on Saturday night (FYI it will be mobbed both Saturday and Wednesday nights because of the park closing early Sunday Monday and Tuesday).

I agree with @StarSpeckledSky that 1 day at DHS would likely be just fine given your schedule.

Good luck!

Is the MNSSHP fireworks not that good? Also... Which days do you think are best for Epcot and Animal Kingdom for Sunday and Monday? :)
Thank you!

I haven’t seen it! It’s not really similar to the Happily Ever After fireworks from what I understand though. Halloween - from what I understand - is more of a show with a whole bunch of fireworks and HEA is more of a multimedia fireworks experience. If that makes any sense.
