Hey all,
I have a quick question about site visits. My fiance and I are planning a wedding at disney in december 2006. We are pretty sure we want to have the ceremony at the wedding pavilion, but we aren't positive. We are going down there this August and probobly won't be back until our planning session, so is it possible to arrange a site visit in August to check everything out?

Thank you!!

i dont see you having any problem getting an appt. for a site visit since its only 4 months out of the 1 year mark.

we did our site visit months before we booked/the 1 year mark, we just contacted dftw & set an appt. told them the sites we were interested in & when we went down in november we viewed those sights, took some pictures with our now sm & discussed what we wanted, the price/budget of things, etc. it was very informative.

best of luck. december is a beautiful time to get married (we considered it too) not sure of your date but the first 2 weeks are value season which means small crowds & you will save $ on resort rooms and many sites are decorated beautifully too so you wont need much decoration.

We did our site visit before the year mark as well. Typically Disney is happy to accommodate you. Enjoy your visit—it’s a lot of fun to get the ball rolling! Also, December is a great month to get married at WDW with all the neat special events and decorations they have. Of course, I might be a little bit biased since I was married on 12-13-03. :)

Thank you for the replies, I will probobly be giving them a call sometime real soon! :)

:wizard:

I dont have it, would it be on the FTW website?

Thank you! I think I'll call them! Being in Kuwait (with a Tampa phone number) guarantees me a call in the middle of the night! Lol.

I just reserved the 9 am spot on August 11th! Im so excited! I do have a couple of ?'s though! First off, are we the only people that go at that time? Second, what happens? Do they just take us around to different sites? Do we have to provide our own transportation to the different sites?

Thank you again!

Rustyflwr3 -- You will be the only couple assigned to one of the Sales Managers... they will first talk to you about what you're looking for, etc and then you will go out in their car to look at your locations. Take this time to see any and all locations that you are possibly interested in -- since your SM will be able to get you right in (sometimes the spots are off limits to regular park guests)

Im also getting married in December 2006, first week in december hopefully. I called them and i am having a site visit in September as i am already going for a holiday! Can anyone tell me though, what the weather is like in December - ive only been once and it was in the high 60's but some people have said its freezing (as in coats and gloves !?) and others have said its quite warm?

Laurafoster--
I have been several times at the beginning of January (in fact, we prefer it because crowds are so much less...I would never go spring break or summer again if it can be helped). Weather varies, but has always been quite dry (hope that doesn't jinx you!). It has been fairly cold...highs in low 60's, but also quite warm...mid-70's and even high 80's last year. Hit or miss temp wise, but at least you avoid high humidity and constant rain of other times of the year. Temps have not been cold enough to keep us out of parks!

I just got back from our trip and site visit about an hour ago! The site visit was awesome! We had Pam Pearce and she was as nice as possible and is already taking some of the ideas we had for the reception and checking to see what can be done!! This was only the site visit; I can't wait for whats to come in the near future! :)

Well, we are pretty certain of the wedding pavillion for the ceremony. We also really liked the Living Seas, it's a lot more attractive in my opinion in person! My fiance and I really love fantasia and sorcerer mickey, so Pam is checking into maybe having the reception under or in the courtyard of the sorcerer mickey's hat! Just something unique! Hope things will work out!
