site for DVC logos?

I'm sorry I don't have the answer, but this will bump the post for an answer from someone more knowledgeable than me!

that's right Mickeycrazed- I do mean clipart for anything DVC related- including all DVC resorts. ANyone?

One way to get to clipart is to right mouse click on a picture you want to use and select Properties. This will give you the path to picture. This is how I got the ones in my signature. Just put that address (copy and paste) into a browser window and most graphics will display. One place to look would be in the members section of the DVC website. I just don't have permission to get in yet so I've had to copy other people's.

of course saving pictures from sites that are not specifically clipart repositories is not right. Both ethical and legally.

I'm just linking to their picture. Unless they are very specific about what it can/cannot be used for, then I don't really see a problem. I'm not using it for my gain, in fact the ones I'm using would only seek the gain of DVC.

Ive got the picture. How do I attach it to my signature? when i typed in the address, it just attached the address to my signature. how do i attach the picture?

You have to upload the picture to someplace that allows linking. this is tough to find as many free places do not allow it as it can have such an effect on the bandwidth use for those sites. (especially if used in a signature for webboards like this)

Once you have the picture uploaded you have to put the url in IMG tags. such as the line below (with the spaces taken out)

[ IMG ] http://urlGoesHere.com/test.jpg [ /IMG ]

I need an OKW and BCV logo- anyone else?

Just posted seven logos to alt.binaries.multimedia.disney
The three OKW logos are Disney, the three mountain DVC is the original OKW logo.
The BCV and BDWK are ones I put together from bits and pieces.
The WLV1 I crafted from the WL logo.

please excuse my ignorance, but is that a web address? I tried getting there and it said there was no addy. ANy other suggestoins? Thanks so much everyone for trying to help! If I don't get back witha reply, it's because I have left to go to WDW and will be abck by next Saturday- I'll pick up from there in my quest to gather the DVC logos. HECK! Maybe I'll just get pics of the logos down there and scan them- that might work! i was hoping ohave them before I left, but if I can't this is the next best thing!

As being a webhost I can tell you linking to other peoples images isn't right. Especially from a very active BB such as this one.

Everytime someone opens a thread with that image you have hotlinked, it is called of off the server it is stored on taking up bandwidth they have to pay for. One person I hosted had someone hotlink to one of his images one time and it took up about 10 dollars worth of additional bandwidth above what he bought from us. I.E. he had to pay $10 extra that month because someone liked his picture and wanted to show it to the world.

Anyway, I know Disney is a large company and $5, $10, $14, or even a few hundred dollars is pennies to them it is still stealing as they are ultimately having to pay for the bandwidth the additional hits to that picture will use.

You may want to think about that. Also legally they own the picture under copyright law and you have to ask for permission to use the picture before displaying it yourself.

I don't want to come accross as mean or harsh I just wanted to let you know just in case you were not aware.
