I am in the market for a new stroller for my kids.

I have 3 kids & currently use my evenflo (I think) mid-sized stroller or my Jeep Umbrella stroller while I carry my baby in the bjorn.

My kids are 5, 3 & 6 months. The 5 & 3 yo are on the smaller side of the scale but the 6 month old is on the bigger side so with her in the bjorn is just not fun anymore (I can do it but for short trips).

If my husband is with us we would use both strollers & each push one.

But my evenflo is showing it's age since I bought it in 2002 for Disney (and I bought the Jeep last year for Disney & they both came to Disney last year).

We are going to the Big E in a few weeks & there is no way I am bjorning the baby for the day so my other 2 can sit in the stroller. So I want a sit/stand stroller for 2 kids & I will use the Jeep for the other one.

What do you all have & why do you like it & what don't you like about it?

I got an email from Baby center & they had one that is $114 (on sale) & free shipping & as usual it got mixed reviews. Then there is the other Sit/Stand one from BRU that is about $20 more.

Thanks.

My friend got a sit and stand stroller, (I think hers is graco?) she has 2 kids, ages 11 mo and 3..and she LOVES the stroller. It is comfy enough for the 3 yr old to sit on when she is tired, and wrks well for the little one too. She started using it as soon as he was able to sit up witl little assistance, as it is not as cushy as an infant stroller. It is also not too big so as to be a chore to take places.

I've seen the Sit and Stand and it looks neat...but I have a solution to the bjorn thing. I had the same problem with DD getting too heavy for it. I ended up reading how to use a wrap instead. I got 4 yards of T-shirt like fabric, cut it in half lengthwise and wrapped it around me (around belly, behind back, over shoulders, tuck under cumberbund, tie in back) and stuck DD in. It is SO MUCH LESS pressure on the shoulders. If you are interested, I can give you some more specifics. DD is a little bigger now so I ended up just buying a new carrier that does front, back, and hip carry.

I HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE my sit-n-stand. Mine is from 2004 and the deluxe model, can't remeber the brand, but it is the common one. You can't get to the basket with the older child in the back and is difficult to access other times. It doesn't go back all the way for the littler one to sleep. The older one can never sleep. If you lean the front seat back at all, the older child must stand.

I have the sit n stand and love it. I have dd2 and ds4. it comes in very handy. yes, it is tough to get to the basket but not a big deal. my ds will not sit in a regualr stroller so this was a compromise that has worked very well. we have used it twice at disney. i recently rented a double stroller at disney (just to try it) and HATED it! it was a good investment. Especially since your youngest is only 6mo. you will get lots of use out of it.

I have been researching these as well and this is what I have found. Baby Trends makes a Sit N Stand that sells for $120 range but to me it looks like a monster much like my graco Duo Glider tandem and I don't want to push that much stroller around. I have also heard it is not the easiest to steer. There is also one made by Joovy called the caboose ($150) and it is the same type of stroller but built a little more compact although I don't think it has a convenience tray for the parents and the basket looks small to me too. I hear it is a dream to push though. There is a new stroller coming out from Fisher Price, can't remember the name, but it is the same type of stroller with lots of other features. Big baskets etc. Not sure on the size of this or when it is coming out sometime this fall I believe. I saw it on Fisher Price's website it is in the Baby Gear brand that FP puts out.

I am still not sure what I am going to do but I am leaning toward the Joovy as I have heard great things about it. Good luck

I have a Sit n Stand that I got when my 2nd dd was born last year. The girls are now 4.5 and 1, and I liked it well enough at first, but now I hate pushing the stroller with about 65 pounds of kid. ;) It really is getting very heavy to push.

Just FYI, the Sit n Stand sold through Target only has a parent tray. I would look for this one!

I ordered the joovy stroller in June - knowing that we had an upcoming trip to Disney. I have used it all summer including our trip to DC and Durham NC. I had been pushing the Eddie Bauer double stroller for the past 3 years and although I loved it - it was getting hard to manage and I hated getting it into our Suburban. The joovy pushes fine and I really don't mind the smaller basket since I don't take much with me anymore ( no more diapers!) My one complaint is the lack of a parent tray. I emailed Joovy and they said one would be out in 4 - 6 weeks (that was in June) and I have not seen one yet! My boys are 3 and 4. They are definately in the lowest percentile for height and weight which could be why the stroller is still easy to push with them in it. It really is just what I needed. Plus is comes in cool colors - we have orange - DS4's favorite color! I would highly reccomend it! I bought ours at allbebaby for $149 and free shipping.

Thanks for all the reply's.

I am mainly looking for it to walk to the bus stop when my 6 month old gets older & then my other two can swap sitting.

I don't let my kids nap in a stroller (unless they some how fall asleep with out me knowing) so the recline thing is no biggie, even at Disney we go back to the room for a nap.

I guess I will have to go to Target & look what they have. Boy do I hate that store :rotfl:

I am hoping to get one in the next week or two for the Big E later on this month.

I do love a big basket, a cup holder for me & a tray for the kids but I can do with out since I have learned to pack lighter with 3 kids & not take 30 diapers for an hour stroll.

We went to Target to do a "test drive" with the sit-n-stand, and DD loved it, problem is she was the only one with us. We too will be a family of three children and I WILL NOT carry an infant all the time, so I needed a new idea. My idea was for the baby to sit in the stroller and DD can sit in the seat in back. DS will be 6 next year when we go to WDW so DD and DS can share the back area. At 6 I think DS can start walking more instead of Mom doing all the work. As for double strollers, we took the Jeep SBS to DL this summer and it was just TOO much work. I hated pushing it around with my two gigantic children in it! Hopefully the Sit-n-Stand will work for us.

I have the Baby Trend Sit and Stand from Target ($120) and I love it. I have three DDs (2, 4, and 6). My DD2 sits in the front and my DD4 can easily hop in the back if she needs a rest from walking. Once in a while my DD6 will take a turn in the back. We can even push all three of them in it at the same time. DD2 goes in the front, DD4 sits in the back and DD6 stands at the same time. This is heavy to push, but it works. We only really do this if we want to get somewhere fast and they are all tired, such as out to the parking lot at the end of a long day.
