Hi!
Since these boards have never steered me wrong before....can you please give some advise on sit-down restaurants. We have the MYW dining this trip and want to plan ahead (helps all those months til the trip fly by!!!). We only really had one sit down meal last trip (Japan in Epcot) so I'm really open to suggestions. It's just me and DH again this trip :flower:

I'm not familiar with which restaurants are on the MYW plan but our new favorite is Cape May (Clams and Oreo Bon Bon) for the family. For an adults night out, we like Artist Point (Salmon and Berry Cobbler).

WOW! So many opinions to give..... lets see if I can be brief.

MK: Love LTT for dinner, best characture interactions around. Friends love CP but we havent tried it.

Epcot: love coral reef for the theme and its ability to keep the kids quiet while we eat (arrive early and ask to wait for a tank side table. Marrakesh for lunch is fun and not as scary food wise as we anticipated. Hated San Angel inn, worst service ever. R&C is great for illuminations if you can get a 7ish PS.

MGM: Love Mamma Melrose. Like the 50's prime time for fun. Dont like H&V or Brown Derby. Sci-fi has great burgers, but the movies can be scary for some kids (50's monster films)

AK: Love Donalds Breakfastasaurus. Get a PS for way before park opening and avoid the gate crowds.

Resorts: Love WC @ WL, always a must do. Love dinner at Cape May@BC. Love Spoodles for breakfast. HDDR is fantastic.

We are using the MYW plan for our 7 day April trip this year, and the following are the "sit-downs" we are using. (This list reflects only the establishments that are listed in the plan and none of the "signature" restaurants that require two credist).

Spoodles *
Concourse Steak House *
OHana
Kona Cafe *
Rose and Crown
Biergarten
Donalds Breakfastasourus

The ones with the "*" are more expensive restaurants that with appetizer, entree, and dessert make VERY good bargains with the MYW plan.

Hope you have a wonderful trip!

My wife and I always have a date at the Brown Derby. Great old Hollywood atmosphere and terrific food. Try the Cobb Salad, which is nothing like what you expect.

Okay... here is where PS are for May.... we can't wait... It sounds like a lot of food ...but... we eat lunch very early and dinner late.
First night dinner at Cape May Cafe.... ditto everything everyone else said this place is great. Great key lime pie
#2 lunch Alfredo's..... we have not been to Alfredo's in a while as we had a lousy meal there a few years ago... but... it was a Good Friday and the place was mobbed...so we will try again as we did enjoy it for many years... Dinner -LeCellier the food is wonderful the breadsticks are every kind you could think of and the cheese soup is what my family loves.. I loved the salmon!
#3 lunch offsite... dinner at Portobello very late... good food and being in DTD later offers opportunity to go right from late meal to Comedy Club
#4 lunch SciFi... dinner at Chef Mickeys..Sci Fi has great burgers and shakes and Chef Mickeys has a wide range of selections to please everyone you are with..from kids to adults
#5 lunch San Angel.. dinner Bomas... San Angel has great atmosphere and the food is great (if you like Mexican food... which we do) .. Bomas in AKL is different and the food was good and it was nice to try things from Africa and we enjoyed them ... BUT the desserts were to die for....ummmmmmm Zebra Domes
#6 lunch Rose and Crown... dinner at Prime Time... R&C has great beef and Fish and Chips and the beer is something nice to have to sit and relax a bit..and being of Scottish descent I just love the place.Prime Time is entertainment ... for kids and adults with wait service interacting with you during meal and my family just loves the Pot Roast... it is just like Mom's!
#7 lunch Bongos... we like to take a day to break up the early part of day shopping...movies etc.. and lunch.. great cuban food... love the bar stools they are conga drums.. dinner-O'Hanna's .... great food... fun .... pineapple with carmel is soooo good
#8 this is our last day and we will go to Chef Mickeys for Breakfast and lunch at the Plaza in MK prior to leaving.... Plaza Restaurant is great...good sandwich's ...soups and great ice cream.. old time ice cream parlour with entertainment as well... we love this place!
Don't forget about Pinnochhio's and Peco's Bills when you want to sit down and just have a quick salad or burger.... :cheer2: :cheer2:
Doing my double digits dance and getting real excited!

DH and I especially love these:

'Ohana
Boma (breakfast and dinner)
LeCellier
Kona Cafe (any meal is great here)
Castle for dinner
California Grill

I'll pretend like I have 7 days to choose one sit a down, so here are our 7 favorites, not in any order:

Chef Mickey's
O'Hana
LeCellier
Crystal Palace
Whispering Canyon Cafe
50's Prime Time Cafe
Rainforest Cafe (at either location)

Have fun.
Lisa
Tiger Fan aka The Great Tiger

Thanks again...ok here is my next question. We are going in September, which was absolutely dead last year so we just walked into places for dinner. When do I make PS for some of the "better" places?
