Does anyone have one of these?? I was looking into getting one soon, and was just wondering what your thoughts were about them?!?!

Do they fold easy? How about getting them on and off of the Disney buses? A PITA???

We used to love ours. The kids are 7 and almost 5 now, so we haven't used it for more than a year or so, maybe even 2 years. But WOW did we love it.

Folding it was pretty easy once you got practiced at it. But man oh man was it heavy and clunky and tough to move around once folded.

We decided not to even attempt it at Disney. We rented a double there. I'm sure thousands of people do it each year, but we just couldn't imagine dragging that monster on and off buses for a week, plus carrying it up steps at our resort.

We currently have and use a Sit Stand stroller, and while I love it for things around home, the zoo, the mall, etc. NO WAY will we be taking it to WDW in Sept. It is much too heavy to deal with on Disney transportation, etc. We will be taking our 2 Maclaren Umbrella type strollers! Hope that helps! :-)

We chose to go with the joovy caboose over the actual "sit and stand" from baby trend. It is the same idea, but we liked the caboose better. At the time, my boys were 6 and 3. We bought the stroller specifically for disney and then I sold it for a friend that is on her trip right now (I wish it were me)! It was a life saver, great stroller. It folded up great and my dh did not have a problem getting it on and off a bus. I might have because it is heavier than a single stroller. I went with this idea, because it seems so expensive to rent a double stroller. This way I got a great stroller and got my money back when I sold it to a friend.

We've taken our Joovy with us to WDW three times...it's been fabulous everytime! We didn't have a great deal of trouble on the buses with it. It is a bit heavier that a single MacClaren umbrella (which is what we use for just dd2 and dd5 usually just walks). However, what I like best is that the Joovy is only the same width as a regular stroller. This meant that we didnt' struggle on the monorail and or the friendship boats. Also, for parades and fireworks...we just pushed the stroller up to an empty spot and dd2 could sit and see and dd5 would stand on the back seat and could also see....without needing us to take up a lot of space.

I'm glad to see that PixieDust used her Joovy for a 6 and 3 year old...I was debating whether to take our Joovy when we go again next month since my older dd is now 5...but I think we now will! She will be tired by the end of the evening and it nice to just have them both together when we are exiting a park. I don't have to worry about dd5 getting separated in the crowds.

I bought a "gently used" Baby Trend S&S for our last trip to WDW. I must say I hated it and am glad I didn't buy it new. Had my car so didn't even have to load it on a bus (wouldn't have considered that) but just pushing it around w/ two kids in it was a bear. Btw, I had my dd (17 lb at the time) in front and ds (32 lb) on the back so not a TON of kid weight. Verrry heavy stroller -especially when going uphill. Wouldn't manuever well and it was hard to get to the stuff in the basket. We actually ended up renting a double the 2nd day for the boys (ds5 and ds3 also fought to ride the whole time-normally not an issue when it isn't so HOT) and my mom (who met us there the 2nd day of the vacation) brought my single GRaco from home. I'm definitely starting to see the benefit of buying a smaller umbrella type stroller with a shade (although I would like a basket) but I WILL NOT pay over $75 for it (I plan to sell my current double Graco for around that) Then I'm done- NO MORE STROLLERS. I've probably owned 10 strollers since ds 16 was born :lmao: One positve note about the Sit & Stand- it was GREAT at the hotel (we stayed off-site) for pushing dd while carting other stuff around. I sat my laundry basket/suitcases/pool bag right on the sitting board and it didn't bother me as much that it didn't manuever well since I wasn't dealing with huge crowds.

Thanks for all the info. I thought it would be TOO big and heavy for WDW buses. We will not be going back until Sept '08.

So by then I will have a 11 month old and a almost 4 1/2 year old. I think that mybe renting a double stoller at the parks and brining a single umbrella will probably work!!
