Sister Wives, anyone???

Wow anyone watching?

The three wives at home have complained the entire hour about Kody and Robyn taking this 11 day honeymoon as well as each of their relationship with Kody.

Their choice for a honeymoon location was the beautiful city of SAN DIEGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I watched. They did complain, but I guess I understand. None of them got that type of honeymoon. I think I would be offended too. But then again, I wouldn't be in that type of relationship.

Did they each get a honeymoon when they joined this family? I'm wondering because it seemed like the middle two weddings were very casual and low key. There are already jealousy issues with Robin's dress from those two, I'm wondering how this little getaway is being received by the other wives?

Did you watch it? :confused3 They each talked about their honeymoon.

Christine said she wanted a road trip so that is what they did for their honeymoon.

They did mention that when Kody and Meri then shortly after Janelle got married they didn't have much money as they were very young. So bit different circumstances 20 years later with Robyn. And chances are TLC paid something towards it to make the honeymoon worth filming. Perhaps paid for their surfing lessons or something.

But 11 days is a lot to be away from the children and rest of the spouse.

Meri did seem annoyed that she only got a 3 day trip for her 20th anniversary while Robyn got a 11 day honeymoon.

I admit it, I watched the hoeymoon show. those fist three wives are not happy that this new wife got a long honeymoon when they got a few days. I guess I agree that a week might have been a more sensitive time period but hey-they knew what they signed up for, right? Anyway, I think that guy-their husband-is an immature narcissist. I mean, what grown man flexes, shirtless for a national TV show? Creepy. When I was 21, I was dating this wrestler who dropped and did pushups in the furniture department of Sears. I dumped him that afternoon. I like a strong man who is quiet about it. :)

Realistically I think this show is an abberration and if the other wives are willing to put up with sharing their husband then they have no one to blame but themselves for their situation.

Regarding Kody & Robyn's honeymoon - I was thinking that maybe the reason why they got an 11 day honeymoon vs. the other wives 3 -5 day honeymoons was because TLC needed that many days to film it for the reality show, and also, because TLC was probably paying for the whole thing, so the Brown's didn't have to worry about any expenses like they had to with the first 3 honeymoons ...

But for whatever the reason, it was obvious that Meri, Janelle & Christine were upset with the number of days that Kody & Robyn got to go away alone with each other ...

I watched it......

I am amazed at how well the kids seem to get along.

I think Robin is going to stay the trophy wife as long as she has her own house. Cody has set it up like a little hideaway.
She needs to get in that main house and she will be right there in the masses.

Did anyone think it's weird that Robin had her parents watch her children?
Thought she wanted the big happy family:confused:

I've been wondering something. Since the extra wives aren't legally married to him, do they change their last names at the time of their "marriages"? And what about Robyn & her existing kids last names?

Does everyone now have the last name of Brown?

Meri had a good anology at the end of show.

Cody also tried to explain how another wife fit in, but his was dumb. You don't share the same kind of love with wives, as you do for children. He explained how the new baby fit in, and how everyone loves the new baby to pieces, but it didn't take away from the love they felt for the other children. He said, the oldest son, is "still the man". (I told you it was dumb).

I don't remember all of Meri's words, but she said something like,
"the new wife is like having another child.
You know their is pain involved and discomfort, but in the end it is all worth it."

I still don't understand it at all.

I thought it was weird that Robin had her parents watch the children too but I guess it could be totally innocent and that her parents wanted to spend time with the kids or something?

The whole show baffles me but for some odd reason, I am fascinated by it and the relationships they all have with each other!:rotfl:

Yes, extremely odd.

I don't know for sure - but I know I can go in and change my name to whatever I wanted, at my courthouse. Cathryn Jimmy Crack Corn, if I wanted. So, I imagine this is what they do?? :confused3

.

See, I thought that made sense, honestly. I remember back when I was dating, and I dated a few guys at a time. I remember liking them all, for different reasons. And had they all agreed to continue dating, knowing I'd be also seeing the other ones, I thought it would have been great. :lmao:

Kidding aside, do you know what I mean? They all had traits I liked, and ones I didn't, but another made up for? And I still liked all of them.

I actually thought Meri's was a little off the wall. I don't know if I'd be okay with pain like THAT. They all seemed to be hurting so much! I felt really bad for them. And frankly, I don't care at ALL for Robyn. Don't know why... I like the other 3.

I found Robyn's comment - something along the lines of - marrying before Christ and it was a lifetime commitment amusing.

She's divorced.... from a polygamist.

Not really. Who was going to watch them? Don't Meri and Janelle work? And Christine already watches a boatload of kids, including a newborn. I thought it was considerate not to inflict her kids on the others.

I watched it and it was exactly what I expected. Old wives are jealous yet keep claiming they just LOVE Robyn and this lifestyle that clearly hurts them. Husband is selfish and immature, getting everything he wants and thinks he's the center of the world. New wife is the new toy and enjoying her new postition as the favorite. He'll tire of her and she'll be just like the others, jealous and unhappy.

This show proves why this "lifestyle" is all wrong. I would feel bad for them but they seem intelligent enough to know what they're doing. They chose it. They need to live with it.

They can say what they want about Meri not having any more say or higher position than the others, but let's face it....he can walk away from any of the other 3 at any time with no strings attached. Meri is the only one he has an legal obligation to.

I have to agree. With the premiere, I thought it seemed like they had a pretty good system, and liked that all 3 were brought on before any of the children were born. The addition of the 4th wife, while good for television, just shows why I, too, would never live this lifestyle, and it doesn't seem to be healthy for any of them anymore, either.

I agree. She really does call the shots. I think it was funny the other wives have mini vans she has an convertible.

Well the other 2 have 6 kids each and Meri only has 1 child.

I was kinda doing the math and in one epi I believe the ladies said they have Kody for 3 days each and then swap ... so with Robyn joining the pack, it will be 9 days before the ladies have their man back. So if Meri has Kody say Nov 1-3, she does not spend any time with him again until Nov 13th ... :sad2:

Secretly, I believe Robyn knows she has "ruffled" a few feathers and LOVES it. She is the trophy wife. Just thinking back to that whole wedding dressed debacle ... she knows exactly what she is doing. ::yes::

Personally, I wouldn;t want him after him being with 3 other women:sick::sick:

I think he clears like and is more attracted to Robyn more then the others. I felt bad for Jenane ?? when he said she was cute and like his bestfriend just what ever wife wants to hear, really cute I don't know many 40 year old women that want to be cute

Totallllllllly! Totally, totally, totally!!!

The scene with the lotion rubbing on her hands, while he was on the phone? Now, it could have been slick editing... but if not?? Not good. Not good at all. pirate:
