I ordered unlimited refill sipper cups for 1 day at Universal. Are there self serve refill stations? What are the cup designs? Thank you.

I don't think there are any self serve refill stations..at least I've never seen any. The designs depend upon where you buy it cup. They have different designs around each of the rides that are available. I'm not sure if there is a list anywhere though.

it's not the food courts at Disney's All-Stars. you give the cup to the TM's and they fill it for you.

What we observed was that the people who had (free refill) cups to refill took them straight to the soda fountain area of the food line, and the workers would fill them in between customers in the food line. The cups we had cost 1.49 to refill, so we had to pay for the refill in line first, then go to the soda filling area of the line and hand them our receipt.

It worked out great for us...since we brought along a huge canteen sippy cup we bought 3 years ago at the Mummy ride, and it only cost 1.49 for refills.

So...if you have sippy cups from previous trips, bring them along!! We were glad we did!

I liked the idea of the free refill cups a lot...but when I saw how small they were, I was glad we had our Mummy canteen.

And hopefully you will be going to Universal at a time when the lines in general will be shorter.

I wish they had self serve refill stations too...but probably too many people would cheat the system that way.

Enjoy!

Are you talking about the ones you can purchase / order online with the Meal Deal? I think they're $8.99?

If so as of last week they were a blue color, had "Meal Deal" on them in white, were about 10 inches tall, the lid screws on, no handle and the straw is that long round bendy kind that can tuck back into the cup. The straws are the ones that kids, mine included, like to make noise with. You can refill those at Meal Deal locations only. I don't know if you can bypass the register with them though.

We bought the red summer refillable ones that are sold at dining locations with refills being 74 cents and can be refilled at any drink or dining location. Looking back on it, I really wish we had bought the Mummy ones instead. The canteen holds more and you have a convenient way to carry it. Plus, ours are stamped 2007 so no bringing them back another year. :(

The unlimited refill sipper cups are such a great deal for $8.99. Our family had to have refilled our cup 10+ times the whole day. We only ordered one for the whole family. You do not have to wait in line to get a refill. Just go up to where people pick up their food and ask for a refill. It was very convenient. We were never thirsty the whole day, and thats saying a lot when you are in Florida in the middle of August!

The one-day sippers are good if you're only spending a short time at the parks.

If you plan on returning often, the big sippers are best.
