Sip, Savor, and Sparkle, or Sit, Swelter, and Save?

I have a reservation for Sip, Savor, and Sparkle on July 3rd for the Independence Day fireworks. I am wavering on whether to cancel.

I know the event has gotten mediocre reviews. The only reason I am considering keeping it is because it would be nice not to fight crowds on July 3rd and to watch the fireworks from a different angle. I saw the July 4th fireworks last year and it was a lot of fun and quite exciting to be in the park and surrounded by the fireworks. I didn't have to wait long at all, but I didn't have the best seat in all of the MK because I didn't show up until 15 minutes or so before they started. I was in the back area behind Main Street.

I do enjoy the flatbreads and appetizers from Cali Grill, but I am not a big drinker. Will the views from Cali Grill for these fireworks be that much more spectacular than the view from the ground?

So is it worth $139 to have a reserved seat and be away from the crowds for a solo, or should I save my money, have a nice dinner in the MK, and brave the crowds and watch the fireworks from wherever?
