You can take it to the comfort station or to any vacant site that has a sewer hookup that you can pour it down. It's odd that FW doesn't have a designated dump station but since so many loops have the full hookups, I guess it's not necessary.

I've honestly wondered about that too. Those with black water must find it difficult when the Fort is full. Maybe they just find one of those sites that have the "invisible" people with extra off-site accomodations.

Do you HAVE to have a grey water container for the drain hose from the sink on a popup camper or can it drain into the nearby grass?

I ask this because tent campers usually just wash their dishes under the spigot without containing the grey water. So I figured a camper could do the same. I just don't know these things.

If available you might consider the small extra cost of a full hook up site that I think have a sink drain right at the sewer connection or even just use the sewer connection for your sink drain.

Those blue totes are sort of pricey not to mention the hassle of taking them up to the CS and man handling them into the toilets and the mess you might make for others if something doesn't go just right. I would think a better alternative is a couple of dishpans and maybe a 5 gal bucket that you can take up to the CS and dump.

There's always many sites daily in transition (people leaving that morning and new arrivals not yet there) that you can use. It's more than you think!

I personally wouldn't recommend using a vacant site since most have been cleaned and if you make a mess you are impacting a potential new arrival that is expecting a prestine site. The little sinks at the sewer hookup are really small and just emptying a small plastic bucket can make that area look used. I guess you could wash it down, but as your doing this and the new site owner shows up how would you feel using a site facilities that you didn't pay for.

I think as part of the improvements, the 1500 and 2000 loops should have an outdoor sink/drain to poor your catch water into. After I found out we had to, we would catch ours in a bucket, but I would guarantee that by the time ds got to the CS with it, it was half empty.

Also, a stupid question from my popup days for others that may not know. Where do you get a hose to fit the gray water drain? The big sewer hose that TTs use is too big and a garden hose is too small. Even when we had a sewer hookup, we could not use it. I never figured it out. We just put a bucket underneath, but that was very inefficient so we missed quite a bit.

BTW, at FW, the CS has a big sink in the laundry room where I would take my pots to clean them, just make sure the food is out. I personally use paper plates and cups so I don't have to do dishes. Also, aluminum foil and ziploc bags are my best friends. No washing required.

That's the best way to solve the "where to dump it problem", just let the kids walk around the loop with the bucket for ten minutes and you don't have to worry about a place to dump it.

Stalktester washes his dishes with the nasty hose provided by the Fort that everyone else uses to rinse out their crappers! He hasn't been kicked out of the Fort for that. Perhaps other reasons, but not for washing dishes with the crapper-rinsing hose!
