single vs. continuous firing

Just wondering if anyone has tried continuous firing at crucial times [like when the Mickey float is going by...] to get better variety of shots. This next trip to WDW will be my 1st with a digital [SLR] so having more "film" available is a new concept, as well as being able to see the images immediately. Was thinking with the sun glaring off the globes [I do use a polarizer] that continuous might be an option. I so rarely think to use it.
 
That's completely unecessary. What's necessary is when you take a pic of those jumping cars and motorcycles at Lights! Motors! Action! at MGM.
 
continuous firing is great when taking pics of the monorail or a fast moving ride. you can make it in to a movie. it's funny. but got parades you best bet is single pics not bursts.
