I have always gone to DLP with DH and DS. However, they do not want to go so I thought I would have a little look for Summer for three nights at the Sequoia just for me. Approx 780 pounds. Thought this was rather a lot. For two to its only another 100 pounds more. This isn't fair. I know that a double occupancy room would have to be used but only one flight or Euro tunnel. One lot of tickets for the parks and one breakfast. Where does this price come from

All the other single travellers out there, what have you done in the past and does this seem unreasonable to you.

Thanks.

does that include your transport Roon ie are you booking it all through Disney? If so, don't, just book the hotel/park tickets through Disney and book your transport separately yourself.

I always have to pay under-occupancy - for example in March for one adult I paid £247, if there had been 2 adults the price would have been £374 (this is without transport provided by Disney).

To be honest, as a lone adult traveller I would stay off offsite (ie Val d'Europe) and get the train in, with an AP for park entry. I think that would give me the best of all worlds. I only stay so close to the Magic right now because my DD likes onsite/associated hotels, but I'm not fussed one way or the other.

just had a wee look - travelrepublic have some good deals for summer for one adult ie £267 total for the Hotel L'elysee val d'Europe, £329 for the Kyriad at DLP, £349 for the Explorers, £356 Dream Castle etc etc

So would I ::yes:: you're only paying for the room then so no under-occupancy charges.

I'd also feel quite safe travelling back to the offsite hotels late at night - the buses are very busy in summer so lots of people around.

Roon, I had this same gripe earlier in the year when I booked a single trip for me for August.

I originally booked to stay in SL and it was just a bit under what you was quoted... but now my friend is coming with me we upgraded to HNY (it only cost about another £50 or so at the time) and due to being able to split the overall cost, it has literally halved the price of my visit.

But I see what you mean, it is definately expensive to visit solo... When I was costing up at the time, I found Kyriad and Dream Castle had quite reasonable prices... I definately agree with the above comments re. staying off-site and travelling in.
