Single rider

These are the ones I remember:

Splash, Indy, Soarin, Screamin, TSMM, Maliboomer, Mulholland Madness and GRR.

They will be marked on the DL map with a special sign for single rider offered. You have to see the CM at the line entrance to request a single rider slip (except for TSMM), and they will direct you where to que up.

According to the park guide(a week old),Splash,Indy at DL. Ca.Screaming,Mulholland Madness,Maliboomer,Soaring and GrizzlyRR at DCA.

(Rats, Dangermouse beat me to it. Oh well)

Thanks. I'm going to be with my dd11. Do you think it's safe to do single rider? I was thinking I could go first so she wouldn't be at the end of a ride alone but I don't want to be separated for too long. What do you think?

11? Of course she'll be OK!

Though if she's a bit nervous, as a nervous person myself, I'd rather be at the end of a ride waiting than waiting to be seated. There *can* be a delay between single riders, and that can be nervous-making (am I next, what if they call me and I don't hear, what if I mix up what line they want me in..etc etc). the end, however, is nicer. For me, at least, in theory. :)

I did the Screamin, Maliboomer, and Soarin single riders when I was 11/12 and I turned out fine. :thumbsup2

Unless they've changed, Toy Story is also single rider. It's the only way my niece and I ride.

If she is very willing to go for it, then I see no reason why not try it. My DDs at
10 started to use the single rider lines. One likes to use it, the other doesn't like it. So I only let them do it if they feel comfortable about it.

Are single rider lines really shorter? When our group tried to ride Indy single rider, (Yes we were going to go single, not going to cheat.) The CM would not let our group in the single rider line.

We had 5 people in our group and one 2 year old who often had to stay back with some of the bigger rides for obvious reasons. I am kicking myself for not discovering and utilizing the single rider line until 2 days before the end of our trip. We walked right up to Mullholland Madness with the wait time showing 30 min. We opted for the single rider line and ended up getting done in about 10. The same with every other ride we did this on...we really didnt mind riding solo or with strangers for that matter, its part of the fun. Everyones there to have a good time. ;)

Because it's so popular, Toy Story's single rider often takes as much as half an hour wait. But that's still better than an hour or more normally, sometimes.

We let DD7 use the single rider line on Muholland Madness. I did not want to go on it again, so she went and loved going by herself, she wanted to keep doing it. She didn't mind that she was riding with another family of 3. We watched her walk up and then waited for her on the stairs near the exit.

We let dd do single rider here in SAn Antonio at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. She has done all of the rides there so she knows what to expect and where the exits are. She knows we'll be at the exit waiting. If it's a ride she has never been on, make sure to go on first and be there to "catch her".

As a solo traveler, I think the single rider lines are a godsend! Especially when you wanna cool down on a hot day, its easy to go through the exit of Splash Mountain or Grizzly River Run and join one of the boats.

The only time I had any problem with the single rider line was at Midway Mania, the line was huge, and even after 30 minutes I had barely moved. I'm pretty sure the standby line on that day was quicker :P
