Single Rider with Rider Switch?

Sorry it was a long day yesterday I must have read it all wrong ...
I never utilized child swap so it is all so confusing ...

Since one person in the group is OK with riding alone, I can see why the CM said no rider swap - it's cheating the system.

That was my knee jerk reaction. But I’ve been unable to articulate why. And I’ve been thinking about it a lot

When I reread, there’s a 2 year old in the mix, too. If they went to the standby line they’d get a switch pass, and the first solo adult rider would get the chance to check it out for the 5 year old. That first adult is solo no matter what. So why NOT use the single line for this? If they think the 5 year old will like it they’ll use the pass. If they don’t, the second adult wouldn’t use the pass and would just go single rider, most likely, because in general that’s faster.

Single rider lines exist to help Disney load faster. So there really isn’t a reason to force the first rider to wait standby just to make them wait longer, since that person being in the SR line is of use to Disney.
