I leave tomorrow!!! I have planned and planned, and just want to make sure I've got all my info right. Which rides in DL and DCA offer single rider lines, and how do I use them?

In DL, just Splash Mountain. In DCA, you have Soarin', Screamin, Grizzly River, Muholland Madness and the Maliboomer. For everything but the Maliboomer and I think Muholland Madness (honestly I don't like this ride so I've never used the line) you go the CM up front (usually where the line starts or where they take the FPs) and ask for a single rider pass and they'll direct you to where you need to go. For the other two, there's a designated line and you just walk up them.

They'll also be marked on the maps of the parks. Single rider lines rock.

The CM at the Maliboomer told us that the single-rider line takes just as long as the regular line. My husband and son got into the single-rider line and it DID take as long, about 45 minutes.

Just wanted to let you know that the Fast Pass can be used anytime that day. Anytime after the start time. Also as of Nov 04 Roger Rabbit Cartoon Spin was not on the same fast pass system, so you could get an extra fast pass here even if you have one for another ride. Also true of Grizzly river run in DCA.

I have honestly never ever waited as long in the singles line as I have the regular line, even when there are a lot of single riders. You really have to look and see how many there are in the singles line--sometimes it can take a while. Soarin' tends to get a very long one, while Grizzly and CA screamin' both tend to have short to non-existant ones (I have never waited more than 5 minutes in the singles line for Screamin' and no more than 10 for Grizzly and it's usually much shorter). I haven't been on the Maliboomer in quite a while, but that's one of the slower singles lines.

The single-rider line is the only way to go for Splash Mountain. I've done it several times and the longest I've had to wait is about 10 min. Once my sis and I went in the single-rider line and although we didn't get in the same log, we were one right after the other. I often get off and go right back on. I'd never wait 45-90 min.

The only downside I see to single-rider on Soarin' is that I've always been on the bottom row and in an end seat. However, sometimes the "end" is actually the inside end, which is really close to the middle. Again, I don't know if it'd be worth the time waiting 60 min. just to have a chance at the other rows (no guarantee!). As far as wait-time, I've never waited more than 10 min.

Last time I was at DL (Feb '04) I was allowed to ride Splash Mt 3 times in a row without even getting off!! That beats the WDW 90 min. wait any day!
