Single Rider Lines

I know that RSR has a single rider line. What other rides at DL and DCA also have single rider lines?

Good question! As many times as I've been to DL and I don't think I've ever seen a single rider on Soarin or Indy. Where do you go?

To access the single rider lines at Indy and Soarin' go up to the CM at the FP line area and they will give you a slip of paper that designates you as a single rider. At Soarin' you go through the FP line and are then separated out where they take the FP's, at Indy I believe you go in through the exit (I've never bothered w/ single rider for Indy).

Also, don't forget that there is now a single rider line for the Matterhorn Bobsleds. To get this single rider slip of paper, go to the right of the entrance to the ride (Fantasyland side, across from the tea cups) Look for the CM there. It is near where that side of the bobsleds exit.

We used Single Rider yesterday for RSR and Matterhorn. RSR was right at opening and an under 20 minute wait. We were in separate cars, but ended up racing each other at the end. Matterhorn was a literal walk-on and we were seats 3 and 4 in the new 6 seat sleds. Easy peasy!

Of course if you have younger children it's not really an option because you'd want to ride together.

For Indy you go to the CM who is checking the FP's. They give you a slip of paper and send you through the exit. When you get to the dig room where it opens up after the spike room you go to the CM at the Handicap entrance. They send you through to a separate line in the movie room. From there the CM will send you to the Handicap Exit from the ride. You take the HC elevator up, exit turn left, walk to the next HC elevator then go down. For both elevators face the door opposite the one you enter through. CM's will direct you to the single rider holding pen. It sounds more complicated than it really is but it's still a long walk.

I did the SRL at the Matterhorn on Monday afternoon, and it took me about 20 minutes to board with having 11 people in front of me. The SRL for Soarin' was a walk-on when I did it, and at RSR it was 35 minutes from entering the line to getting off the ride when it said 45 minute wait.

The SRL at the Matterhorn is really hard to find. Just go to the ride exit and you'll be in the right place.

O.K. a question about the Matterhorn Single Rider. If everyone says to go into the exit, why are there signs for the single rider at the two sides where you enter?

When I rode it on Monday I saw no signs at the line entrance, so I just had to keep asking people where to go. It's not well marked, at least from what I saw. It could've changed since then.

Just wanted to add that if you ever see the single rider line that has a posted wait of longer than 45 min for RSR it is not true. It's 45 from the sign. I have been in about 8 times now in single rider and have never waited more than 45 min. As for the Matterhorn I should have taken a pic. My fault.

My favorite SRL is for Toy Story Mania...that line is always SO long, and I hate the waiting area. I don't think we've ever waited more than 10 minutes as single riders, and most of the time two of us can get on together!

I hate to be the barer of bad news, the single rider line was taken out at least a year ago now. Maybe longer. As I recall there were issued with a single parent riding with two kids and then a single rider riding with the kid. Nothing I know happened bad to a kid, just parents voicing opinions as they could not see their kids due to the way the car for the ride is built.

I have two kids, and while I can understand the concern, if I didn't feel comfortable with my child riding with a stranger (and taking turns wasn't an option) we just wouldn't go. I don't agree that the SRL should have been taken away.

Sadly, they don't offer single rider at TSMM anymore. Or at least not the last half dozen times I've been there. I was just there last weekend and it wasn't offered.
