Have any COUPLES done the single rider line and if so, were ya'll seperated or did you get to go one at a time? Just curious as to how it works for a party of 2.

:hyper2:

DH and I did the single rider line at EE a few weeks ago. The standby line was 50 minutes and the fastpasses were for a return in 3-4 hours, so we decided this was the only way we'd get to ride in a reasonable time (still took about 25 minutes). We both did happen to get on the same EE train. I was in the front row, DH about 2/3 of the way back (he didn't even realize we were in the same train as he thought my train had left when he was called forward).

It is very possible you would be split up. We saw plenty of times when only one single rider was called to fill in for a train, and the next single rider not called until the next one, or even a couple of trains later.

On rides with just two seats like EE, more than likely a couple would be split-up, however on other single rider attractions such as Soarin, TT. or MS you stand a better chance of seating together. At least that has been our experience.

I think test track is the MOST likely that you'll be split up. Those cars are 3 seats in each row, and many groups are in sets of two. I've always found that we sometimes get in the same car, but it's always in different rows. The farthest apart I've ever been is 4-5 cars on test track. On EE, I've only done it once, and DD and I were right next to each other.

Never plan to stay together. You're going to be put whereever they have room, unless there's no one in either other line. That's the downside of the single rider line.

We're 2 and in EE we were in different trains but in Test Track we were in the same car but I had the front row and my sis had the back row. Its quite worth it!

Maybe we're unlucky, but we've done it MANY times at TT, and we've always gotten different cars.

In a singles line you cannot expect to sit together, very unlikely to happen, however in a ride like Test Track there's a chance you might sit in the same car.In Everest you might go in the same train or go in the next train or possibly the second train, you never know!!!Someone said Soarin has a singles line, which it doesn't, it used to show it did in the EPCOT map but it doesn't have one, Mission Space used to have one, but when they changed to the orange and green teams with the tamer version it was removed!!!

It's not easy to get CM's to be rude to you, but one of the easiest ways is to get in the singles line and then try to ride together. They don't like that, and they're not shy about saying so!

I was a legit singles rider last March, and they were pretty hard-nosed about it.

It's pretty funny really how CM's have to tell EACH person as they get in the single rider line that they WILL be split up....

I always thought the name said it all... :cool1:

No matter how many people there are in your 'group' if you go in the single rider line, you are treated as individuals - i.e. single riders.
There is a slim chance you'll be together, but most likely you won't. If it matters to you, stand in the regular line. If not, then enjoy a shorter wait. You miss out on some of the preshow, and own't get a photo together, but you get to go on twice as many rides. If it's your first time ever on a ride, then it might be worth getting the full monty. Use the single rider line for your second riding.

I agree, one of the single most frustating things that Cm's encounter is people who don't get the concept of single rider when they get up to the front of the line. I have no fault with you asking here though.

The second most annoying thing is people who can't count their party size when getting on a ride. Check out http://www.stupidguesttricks.com/vb3/index.php
but only if you want to hear it from the other side and are willing to lurk silently.

Not unlucky - the Single Riders' Line worked for you exactly the way it's supposed to work :)

But Soarin' Over California does!!! Last November (wow, has it been that long?) I got a FastPass; got in the standby line; rode SOC; by the time I exited, my FastPass time had arrived so I got into that line; rode again; exited; entered the Single Rider's Line, was admitted to the second part of the queue immediately, got down to the bottom of the ramp, was taken immediately to fill a 'spare' seat... three rides in ten minutes!! Okay, no, not really - but there was NO wait in the FP line, and I got lucky and had NO wait again in the Singles line. Boom boom boom!
