I've been trying to find a cabinmate for the November 17th Pin Cruise and have had no luck yet. I have until September 13 to firm up the cabin or cancel it. I've gotten a single rate and am on the fence about booking at the single rate. First, are there any tips for booking as a single person, I.E. Finding a cabinmate, getting the lowest possible rate, etc. and Second, Does Disney offer discounted last minute rates, if for example, I cancel my cabin due to an inability to find a cabinmate for the November cruise, and if on the day the ship is to leave port, I go to the terminal and try to buy a ticket for any remaining cabins? I'm aware of Florida Resident discounts and do you have any information as to how long or short the advance notice on these discounts typically come about? Ken

I think the FL discounts have already been released....maybe I'm wrong since I don't qualify, but seems like I read here the rates were out. Maybe that was an earlier release of dates for spring. Anyway, you can't get a last minute break. You can't even get into the port without being a ticketed pasenger, so no walk-up sales. You might just be stuck with paying the single supplement.

I could be wrong, but I don't think there are discounts (i.e., FL res) for specially themed cruises like the Pin Cruise anyway, since they usually have no problem filling those. BTW: I know what you mean about the "single" problem. Although I'm married, DH is just "not into Disney," so I have gone solo. I'm doing the Halloween Wonder but talked my adult nephew into going, since he is into Disney and it's his birthday present.
