Anyone got any last minute tips that I should know... Like how to make the next seven days go by at a speed faster than CRAWL?!?!?:Pinkbounc

You can take me with you!

PLEASE! (I can stay quiet in a suitcase for a long time!):teeth:

Here's some last-minute before you leave tips:

-Arrange to have your mail delivery stopped

- Pay all bills you have invoices for, even if they are not due right away (they are easy to forget and become late)

- Contact your credit card companies to let them know you will be out of the country, and where you will be on given dates. If you have big-ticket expenses that you expect to incure on-cruise, let them know about it before hand(DCL for shipboard expenses, non-DCL excursions, big purchases, etc.).

- If you plan to use Walmart or Target gift cards for non-tipped positions, get them this week.

- Go to bank and get cash / travelers' checks

- If you plan to tip with cash, separate that money into envelopes now but don't seal (you may want to add or delete later)

- Make sure your cruise documents and ID (passport, birth certificates, etc.) are in order and accessible in your carry on.

- Make sure you have emeregency phone numbers accessible(your doctor(s), your heath insurance, your neighbors/relatives, your employer)

- Double check your pre/post cruising lodging and transportation reservations.

- Service your car if you are driving down. Make preparations in case of break-down (AAA, and have rental 800 numbers handy)

- Check cameras, film, etc. (pack film in carry-ons for hand checking at security)

- Do your final packing

- Make arrangements for pet boarding

- Clean your house

- Secure your house befoe you leave, including AC/Heat and water heater. Winterize if you live in that climate. Put a light on a timer, and leave a radio on. Let your neighbors know to watch your place while you're gone.

- IMPORTANT - Have fun!

Think about taking a travel alarm clock with an illuminated display. The clock in the room is not a very good alarm clock.

DVCanuck Jr --- two tips for you:

1 - Pack half as much as you think you'll need;

2 - HAVE FUN!!!

Another Canadian on the February 14th sailing!! I knew there were a few more lurking around this board. We have 2 girls ages 4 and 8 who are sooo excited to be on the cruise. Have you cruised before? This is our first, I'm sure we will love it. I agree with the others for the packing issue. I always pack way to much so I am going to try to cut it back some. Have a great time, see you on the ship!!

I'm on the 2/14 also. Was born in Canada, my parents moved when I was only one. Just recently became a US citizen 2 years ago. All my relatives are in Canada.

Traveling with 3 kids, DD17, DS14 & DD12

Trying to pack today, also trying to get kids to finish projects due after we get back.

Enjoy - you have planned, dreamed, made lists and read the DIS for months making you some of the most informed cruisers there are. Now use that knowledge, let the auto-pilot kick in and make this pre-cruise week fun too.

Have a great week and safe travels on your trips to the port!

I can't wait to be doin' the single digit dance!

Have a great time (like you could do anything else on the MAGIC!):earsboy:
