Single Day Tickets--Is this true about hopping?

Sehlinger, in the 2005 Unofficial Guide to DL, claims that you can hop on a one day ticket IF one park closes later than the other and you only go to the later closing park after the official closing time of the earlier closing park you originally entered. Does anyone know if this is actually true? It would be really helpful for me because then I could go to DCA where I have never been, but still have a couple hours at DL after DCA closes. Any help would be much appreciated.

No, We had a single day ticket and you could only hop if you paid the extra money and got a one day park hopper ticket. Sorry

No. You can get a 1 day park-hopper for $69 and you can hop all day. This ticket isn't listed at the ticket window. You need to ask for it!

Actually, it is listed at the ticket window. I think they're trying to see those more, rather than the 1-day, 1-park tickets at the window as it lists the 1-day hopper in big, bold letters along with the multi-day tickets and says 1-day, 1-park tickets also available for $49.75 (or whatever the current price is). But they only sell them at the park ticket booths and not at the Disney Store or other off-site places, from my understanding. But as far as what the UG says, I've never heard of it unless it's a new policy. The only time I've ever heard of them allowing people to park hop on a single-day ticket other than the new 1-day hopper is when they had the Angels' World Series victory celebration there.

I have never heard of this before. You may want to contact Disneyland and find out the "official scoop."

I'm thinking that the official answer is probablly no, but I also think it might be possible that the way the ticket machines work it might be true. Don't know if I really want to risk it, though. I'm curious to find out if anyone has actually DONE it.
