If you ask for a disabled room, will they let you have two seperate beds rather than one king size ?

I would not feel comfortable sleeping in the same bed with a friend

I have stayed at the All Star Music, the Polynesean and Shades of Green in rooms that I considered wheelchair accessable and they all had 2 double beds.

However it would depend on what you need for your room. None of these rooms had roll in showers, they all had tubs. Most of the bathrooms where kinda small. I've seen much larger bathrooms and better accessability in rooms I've stayed at in other cities.

We stayed at ASMo last week and had a HC room with a roll-in shower (large bathroom with sliding door instead of swing type... shower area had shower seat and adjustable height shower head.

The room had a king size bed and we requested a roll-away bed... this worked out very well for my mom (we did have to re-arrange some furnishings to keep a clear aisleway for the wheelchair).

We've stayed in accessible rooms at the Poly, GF, and BC. All of them had two queen beds. At the Poly and BC there was also a daybed. Our room at the GF did not have the daybed although most rooms at GF do. Some rooms at the BC do not have a daybed either.

I have not needed a disabled room yet as I do not use a wc. But I have a problem with my balance and need hand rails in the bathroom especially in the shower.

The next resort we were going to visit is the CBR and as I am not sure of the layout of a regular room, I guess it would be best if I asked the travel agent to put in a request or try to phone from England
