True. I was there in Sept 08 and it didn't work. Went back in May of 09 and it worked. Go fig. Still a fun pic even without the water!

It did for us in 09, but the kids really had to jump on it to get it to work.

Too funny!!! I'm going to sing this for my mom next time - it usually rains on me, but she could tug on it for an hour without a drop. I have some really hilarious pics of her trying... Is there someone hiding around the corner controlling it?

Nope. Nobody controlling who gets wet and who doesn't.

Worked fine at the end of April. My youngest (4 at the time) needed a little help getting it going.

We tried first week of July, me and my son were jumping on the pad and we still couldn't get it to work, that is 5 times and haven't got it to work yet

The effect is shut off during drought periods to conserve water, that may be why some can get it to work and some can't.

It takes a lot of effort to make it work. And like Robo's song says- you attract a crowd when you're standing there jumping and tugging on the umbrella lol
