sing alongs will not be the same

There are certain things my kids want to do when they hit the campground. The have to go to the petting zoo, find peacocks and especially the white one and visit the horses. Their favorite thing to do was find Ms. Sundee at the sing a long. However, while there last month, Ms. Sundee informed me that she will not be there after the middle of August due to health problems . I will miss her singing and the kids are crushed. She knew each one by name (all 5 of the little ones) and took the time to talk with each one. They have also changed the afternoon activities but I don't know why. Anyway, Ms. Sundee was very informative on just about any Disney subject and was always fun to talk to. I hate to see her go and think Ft Wilderness is losing a big asset to the campground. I wish her luck with her health and her new position. She will be greatly missed by our family.

She told me she was moving to a sit down job (for Disney) due to her knees. I can't remember the name of the positiion, not reservations, but maybe an info line? She took my email address but I have not heard from her as of yet.

I hate to hear Sundee is leaving FW!! My DD absolutely loves her and Sundee is about all DD will talk about when we mention FW. (Forget about Chip and Dale!, her fav is Sundee). I am sure the hot weather months also take a toll when your health is bad. Hopefully she can continue to help us disney fanatics out where ever they place her.

Sundee is a great ambassador for WDW. I do hope they keep her in contact with the public. She would make a great information center cast member. She is very knowledgeable and always upbeat. She is just a joy to talk to and have around. I wish her the best in her new duties. She will be missed by thousands of kids and adults alike.

A sad day for Fort Wilderness fans !
We spoke to Sundee during our visit last Christmas, she had taken a nasty spill and her legs were black and blue all over.
She had said that her arhtritis was getting worse and she was having troubles getting around.
She told us that a friend of hers reads the disboards regularly, maybe someone will post a way to get in touch with her !
Sundee is a wonderful person and poured her heart into her work. People like her are the reason for Disneys success. She is a wealth of knowledge and one of the best story tellers I have ever met.

Someone please let us know how to get in touch with her, my family will be crushed when they find out she is gone.

When we were there in July Sundee was having to use a cane to get around and she had alot of bruising on her legs. I am not surprised to hear that she is moving to a sit down job. She will definately be missed at the sing along. I hope that she finds another position that she can enjoy as much as the campfire program.

We had a VERY pleasant surprise on Dec 21st when we arrived at the campfire. Our friend Sundee was there to greet us. It was her first day back, hows that for luck !

We were there that day too! We had missed all the news of her departure, but certainly glad she is back and was there to entertain us! She is super...so energetic and really is into entertaining. Not that the replacement on Sundee's day off (sorry can't remember her name) isn't good, its just that Sundee has this little extra spark of enthusiasm that makes the show a big hit with us.

The way she told it, the hurricane caused her to stick around...did I hear right? If so, its the best thing that came out of last summer's disasters.

She said the hurricane hit ( cant recall the name cause there were so many) the day she was supposed to leave. Apparently it gave her enough time to make the needed changes and heal up some.

BTW, Julie is the name of the other CM that does the show on Sunday and Monday, she is also very nice and very talented. I always make it a point to say howdy to her as well.

RocklandRVers..... we were the crazy people from Michigan that sat in the front benches on the right side. My oldest son is 14 and has (for now) blond hair. I looked for your RV but couldnt find anything familiar, was gonna say hello.

I do recall also that Sundee mentioned "mrsGus" was there but never did find out where they were.

Cant wait to get back there this March with the RV, We stayed at Boardwalk this trip and it just wasnt the same !

BigDisneyDaddy, I was in the 1800 loop of the campground. We never stay any other place. Ms. Sundee said you were there but staying in another resort. I am sorry I missed you and your family as Ms. Sundee had nothing but wonderful stories to share about the Davey Crockett hat! Maybe in the future we will meet. We will also be there in March (arriving March 25 - April 02) for spring break.
