I just stopped in at Tims (it's been over a month since I've gone...I know, that's terrible haha). But I noticed they now take mastercard. Now I don't have mastercard, I have Visa, so it's not perfect yet....but I am thinking they will get Visa as well then....

When did this happen?!!? Am I just blind and didn't see the lil sign posted before??

They started about 2 weeks ago. Sales under $20 do not require a signature, so you can just swipe and go. They won't take debit b/c it takes too long to process. I heard that around Christmas time they are going to come out with a pre-paid type of card.

Heard something about it a few weeks ago. They are trying it out in certain locations. I heard Mastercard, something like a "speedpass" thing, and prepaid cards. Hope the trials prove successful, then I won't ever have to carry cash again!!!

It is a good thing, I agree!

The only negative thing is now I will buy more of it haha....because if ever I don't get it, it's because I don't have cash on me.

So it could get ugly!:lmao:

We lived in a area before that did a test of the pre-paid "tims" card and we had it and used it all the time.. then they stopped the test. The mastercard thing is like the tap and go from Petro Canada without the nasty little jingle.

We were there on Saturday and notice the machine in drive-thru. They were still taking our debit-card. I think it is a great idea as it will really clamp down on skimmers.

They were planning on making a pre loadable card a few years ago and tested it in Oakville I think, but it didn't work out...

I like the idea of using credit card, speeds things up and don't have to worry about change..

My DH just told me about this yesterday and I said "I have already heard about on my Disney website"
