with room numbers on them, can someone tell me what area I room number or area I should request for a standard view studio, pool view, maybe 3rd floor or higher and maybe see a little of Epcot Illuminations or MGM?
Thanks all
Druz :)

Standard views are not of the pool. You will get a view of the entrance of Boardwalk. We always get a standard view and are generally able to see the high fireworks of Illuminations.

If you book directly with WDW and not Disney Vacation Club, you can request any view (they are all the same price - no standard or preferred as it is with Disney Vacation Club). :)

Rather than looking for a room number, just put your request into words. We had a preferred (DVC) 1 bedroom over the quiet pool on the 4th floor where we could see the canal and MGM. Last year we had a standard (DVC) room over the pond next to the front driveway on the 3rd floor, we could see the high fireworks from Illuminations and hear the music. I think your best bet is to request a high floor first, the 1st rooms near the pools don't have much of a view.

hi: don't know if this will help, but the entire 5th floor is nonsmoking, so i just usually request top floor. some of the rooms are a bit of a hike from the elevators, so the stairs may be the way to go. we've stayed in standard view rooms several times, and they usually face the front drive. you can see the higher fireworks from illuminations from most of the standard view rooms.
