Sometimes if we're out at a restaurant, my kids will hear a song in the background and say, "isn't that the singer you like, Mom?" I love that they can identify his voice already!

I humbly disagree Jenn. I think his ballards and love songs translate very well today. which is way every generations seems to "discover" him. Some things are timeless. "heartbreak", "unrequited Love", love all are common emotions that have stood the test of times.


As the old saying goes "imitation is the highest form of flattery". I always chuckle when todays supposedly superstars need to come up with a sure fire hit after their well runs dry, what they end up doing is rerecording one of the timeless artist.

I don't know if its just my DS and his group of friends, but they all love the standards.

I know he loves Rosemany Clooney, Frank and Dean, Frankie Laine, Mel Torme. His ipod list is amazing!

Absolutely. The themes are timeless and ol' blue eyes was not the first the stumble on those either.
