SIMS2 - Seasons: Anyone Else Playing?

I got mine today at Best Buy, been playing it all afternoon and evening. It's awesome!

I love how the seasons change, it was winter and now it's turning to spring. The snowfall is neat, and they can make snow angels, build snowmen, ice skate, etc.

I love all the new stuff for the houses too, especially the country collection.

And being able to have gardens and grow fruits and vegetables, yum!

And there are some neat new things, like being able to put leftovers in the refrigerator for later, instead of just throwing them out if they don't eat them all in one sitting.

It's after midnight so I'm heading to bed, but I'm off work again tomorrow so you know I'll be playing all day!!

Ooh that's interesting. Over in the UK we got Pets awhile ago. I didn't buy it as to be quite frank it is slow on my computer so I hardly use it before. But it does sound quite cool!

When I buy another computer, I must remember that when they say 256MB needed, they really mean 512.

And make sure you get one with a good graphics card. I bought a new computer (laptop) in October JUST to play SIMS 2 and they said I needed one with a good graphics card or it would still play just as slow as our desktop. When you are ready to shop for a new computer, let them know what you will be using it for so they can help you choose one that you'll be happy with.

Sending sympathy dust your way... I know, I'm SO GLAD I'm still off on Thursday so I can play ALL DAY, and even some on Friday as I don't go in until 4:00 Friday.

I really like it, it's a lot of fun and so different. But my only problem is I haven't had "summer" yet. When I started playing yesterday it was winter, and a really l-o-n-g one, then it went to spring, then skipped summer and went right into fall, and back to winter now. What's up with that? She hardly had time to harvest her garden, and her apple trees never did produce. Anyone else "skip" a season?

I'm sorry yours did it too, but glad to know I'm not the only one. Maybe they're all programmed to have an "extra long winter" the first time it's played, I dunno. I really liked spring because she planted strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, eggplant and peppers. She didn't have a very good green thumb though as they were all "bland". But maybe next time they'll be better.

I wanted apples from my apple trees but since summer never came I never got any. Loved the rain, thunder and lightning too!!

It's so much fun!! I'm going to hate to quit when "Survivor" comes on tonight!!

Yea, I'm chomping at the bit to get home from work so I can get some quality time in before Survivor also!

now I haven't eaten any of the fruits yet but I did make some juice and drink some. My strawberries/pole beans/eggplant etc aren't quite ready for harvest.

I had my headphones plugged in to the speakers last night and the first time I heard thunder on the game I just about came out of my skin!!! My stupid dad sim wants to be struck by lightening too! That ought to be interesting!!!
